Iranians seem to assimilate comparatively well and become preductive once they immigrate to the West. Also Iranians in Iran have a reputation (Despite theocratic government) of being fairly liberal. Think I remember seeing they have quite high IQ on average (considerably higher than the Arabs and Turks that surround them) though can't remember where I read this.
Also Iran/Persia has genuinely proud pre-Muslim history and independent identity and it's quite impressive they managed to maintain this and their separate language when similarly great civilizations (the proper (Coptic) Egyptians for example) were completely Arabized.
