Do you think Trump's proposal to ban all kebabs will really pass?

Doesn't need to. It's against someone we're at war with so he can pull an executive order
>>
>>77229997
It doesn't have to pass anything. The president has the authority to dictate restrictions like that.

Of course it will. Do you think we're stopping with Trump? We'll meme Pepe-tweeting alt-right candidates into Congress too. We're going full speed ahead on this. State and federal level.
>>

Won't work. Trump doesn't have a plan.

Obama did it and no one even reported on it. Yes it will.

It's already passed.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1182

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.
>>
>>77229997
Pass? It's a presidents executive order dude. 8 usc section 1182 law.cornell.edu a president has the right to suspend immigration from groups or nations he deems unfit for American interests. This doesn't need Congress.

Doesn't sound like we're obligated to accept them into our collective assholes.

If he keeps pushing it, with no facts on how to implement it, it will cost him the election.
Base voters (middle aged or retired) want safety. They see his plans as half baked. Go look up what he says.
> Mr trump how will you implement this ban?
Well we will have the customs agents ask them if they are Muslim, and if they say yes, we won't let them in.

That's the planning of a child.

/pol/ May love trump, but he's scaring the normies. Most will go middle of the road because they are afraid of pissing off Islam and being attacked on native soil.

IRONICALLY ITS HILLARY'S WAR IN SYRIA THAT STARTED ALL OF THIS. But everyone forgets this so quickly. It's actually in her declassified emails, that she wanted to unsettle Syria because, "that's what's best for Israel", but most people won't/can't read that far.

Denying them access to our country isn't the same as prohibiting the free exercise of their religion.

Besides, that clause in the constitution is going to end our society if a lot of them get in, and establish citizenship. Classical liberalism, despite being the system I'd most like to live under, is helpless against Islam.

>banning all Muslims

You forgot to add deport all Mexicans

The subtle hillshill spreading lies with a touch of truth.

Trump wants to halt middle eastern entry into the US until there is a process to see who they are.

Europe just let in anyone.

Trump wants to deport illegal aliens whether they are from Mexico or not.

Why is it ok for Mexico to have more stringent immigration laws then the US?
>>
No, it will be neogtiated down to banning people from regions where ISIS is active.

If Trump had proposed that, no one would have cared.

Rand Paul proposed that exact plan and everyone ignored him.

Trump said this to get everyone's attention.

Haven't you even read The Art Of The Deal?

It only applies within US borders. If they're not here they're not protected by our constitution.

Trump said in his latest speech that the president has the power to ban immigiration from a certain class of people, a "class of people" being determined by the president.

Here's the quote:

"The immigration laws of the United States give the president powers to suspend entry into the country of any class of persons. Now, any class — it really is determined and to be determined by the president for the interests of the United States. And it’s as he or she deems appropriate. Hopefully it’s he in this case."

The thing with the constitution is that most of its language is ambiguous. The idea was to make it adaptable to changing circumstance, but that also means people can prop up ridiculous stuff while pretending the constitution explicitly supports them.

One thing going on in america is liberals claiming that the constitution says stuff it doesn't. The Second amendment never covered automatic firearms, the bill of rights extends to foreign nationals etc.

>what is political capital?
>>
>>77232812
It's funny because the Second Amendment is quite possibly the most plainly worded part of the entire constitution. It literally exists so that the people could have a means to overthrow the government in case they became too tyrannical, or interpreted the other parts of the constitution in such a way so as to allow for greater tyranny. The direct intent was for the citizenry to be able to match the military capabilities of the army directly.

Hilariously, this means that the founding fathers would probably have been in favor of private ownership of ballistic missiles, jet fighters, tanks, and so on if they had seen their development occur.

He's legislating against people coming from countries with high terrorist links

He's not banning Muslims. Just immigration from countries related to ISIS or terror organisations.

That guy turned out to be a total fucking retard though. He hates Trump for whatever vague reason, he spends his time calling him childish insults on twitter now.
>>
>>77234511
Precisely, the founding fathers would probably be pushing to undo pretty much all gun legislation and allow for even machine guns to be regularly purchased. I think they'd support background checks to some degree, but in terms of actual weaponry I highly doubt that they'd want any real restrictions.

Except maybe nukes. I think if you explained that one to them they'd see that might not be the best idea.

>>77229997
It's not a "proposal", that's just what he says to chill out the retards. He doesn't need Congress to ban a class of people for any length of time, its within the purview of the Office.
>>
>>77235613
The president can ban ANY group of people from coming in for ANY reason. The constitution doesn't apply to foreign nationals outside of US borders.

>>77236343
Trump is halting new Muslim immigration. He's not deporting the Muslims that are already here legally.
>>
>>77236035
It doesn't, unless they're in country. He would need a declaration of war against ISIS to start detaining and deporting Muslims in country though. That declaration would pass easily, because everyone who doesn't vote yes won't be re-elected.
>>
>>77231277
