I do hope Trump wins His victory will further rip the GOP establishment apart. If the GOP is shaken to its foundations, there is a chance it will be rebuilt with its small government, free market principles at the fore. This may be wishful thinking, but it's more likely than the GOP rediscovering its roots without being BTFO by Trump.
At the same time, we need to blast the left so hard that it completely changes the dynamic of political discussion. We are playing the game by their rules. If Trump beats them by completely disregarding the taboos they have in place, they will have to play by our rules. Hopefully that will curb their most socialist and authoritarian tendencies.

I think open borders would be okay IF America had no welfare or government funding of healthcare or schools. No public services for immigrants to exploit. Also, we need to fully restore our 2nd amendment rights. Mexicans and other foreigners are definitely more dangerous than citizens. But that ceases to be a problem if almost everybody has a gun to protect themselves.
If Trump gets the wall built, he changes the dynamic. Once they can't walk in, the right can say to the left: "How bad do you want to let mexicans in?
