I can get into MENSA based on my LSAT score (over 161 or 162 puts you in the 99th percentile of the population-- no, you cannot "study" for the LSAT like MCAT, it's an intelligence test. )

Trying to find a way to maybe meet some conservative people, maybe even a female (not a virgin, have gotten a decent amount of pussy but I hate the girls I'm around).

Is sending in the little card and my fee just a bad form of status signaling? I heard they have different "meet up" things, but afraid all the females will be SJWs.

Has anyone ever been to one of the MENSA "gatherings" and can tell me what the politics of the people are like?
>>
>>76771913

how can't you study for the LSAT?
>>
(I think it might be a good idea now esp., bc this is one of my few outlets wher eI can talk to a few smart people and have actual political discussions, but that's all being drown out since the schools let out).
>>
>>76771913
>you pay a magazine to tell you you're smart
This alone should be enough to tell you its leftist
>>
>>76772061
>how can't you study for the LSAT?
You are not memorizing information. It's reading comprehension and logic games, which are always different.

To an extent, you can prepare yourself for the format but you can't "study" to make yourself have better reading comp or to be better at logical thinking.

The MCAT is different bc they are just testing how much science you have memorized over the past 4 years.
>>
>>76771913
I got accepted into the triple nine society but I turned it down. All high IQ societies are just an excuse for people to gather and jerk themselves off at how "smart" they are.
>>
I got in when I was 12. They had me take a special test for younger folks that I did really well on. All I really did was go to an occasional dinner at a local diner with the other 8 or so folks and talked about grown-up stuff. Didn't renew my membership the following year, and never really bothered since.
>>
>>76772134
>pay a magazine to tell you you're smart
don't think it's a magazine, I think it's actually like a club, and they don't "tell you" you're smart, you have to actually score..I mean, their own "test" might be a joke, but the LSAT is genuinely a tough test where you spend 5+ hours straight sitting in a room and..it's fucking miserable.

My concern would be the other exams people use to get in. Maybe I should join AmRen or something, I watch RamzPaul and he seems to say it's fun.
>>
>>76772296
The LSAT is mostly tests now autistic you can be. The only parts that you absolutely cannot study for are the logic games.

Look up a one of the reading comp sections or the logic sections. BAsically, they give you a reading passage and then a logic section, you get 30 minutes.

It's also an endurance test, bc one of the sections in experimental, but you won't know which one it is.

I was using my GF's big alarm clock I could easily see and she forgot to tell me that it goes off at 130 pm each day.

It went off, everyone gave me the death stare, I was able to get the fuckhead proctors to take it. And then it went off again. I got a warning letter as it was, if it had been in my possession when it went off second time, I would have been disqualifified, all my work for LS for nothing.

Look up a logic section. They get harder as it goes from beginning to end of section. Lately, I think they've added a "Writing" section so they can make the nigger scores look less like a joke, but if you took it a few years ago...try a section, it's a lot harder than you think. And imagine taking it 4 hours in, with one 15 min break to piss and pop adderrall.
>>

>161 on the LSAT
I said 161 was the cut off, dumb fuck. I didn't get a 161, I had a 196 and first try and 174 on second.

the cut off for 99% (in Us population, not on exam) is 161. Why do I know you didn't even get anywhere near a 161?

>no, you cannot "study" for the LSAT like MCAT, it's an intelligence test.
you realize you can study for IQ tests, right? there's plenty of people with inflated IQ scores because they practice questions and take the test multiple times. if i take the IQ test 10 times in a row and study my mistakes after each test you will watch my IQ magically rise. sort of like taking the test makes you smarter or something.
>>

Took the test and qualified, basically anyone who played children's puzzle games is a shoe in. Never joined because I was only curious about the test.
I do wonder what is the point exactly? High intelligence is not exactly telling of your politics, personality, or fitness. What do they do?
>>
>>76773941
>you can study for IQ tests, right
For a "real" IQ test, you can't study for it. you can get used to format, but that's it.

always make me laugh to see people on here claiming they took a 10 min test on the net and their IQ is 150 or something.

They don't realize, the hardest part is sitting there for 5 hours in a quiet room with no air-conditioning and 130 people in there and not being able to piss or take a drink and having to just push through.

Of course, your score will usually go up a bit with exposure to format, which is how Kaplan makes shekels. But with LSAT, you only get money back if you score goes down from the initial, they make no promise it will go up.
>>
>>76771913
I secretly want my IQ to be low, really low.
Just so that I can tear down the balconies of those "intellectuals".
They always just revel in their own intelligence, its cringe inducing and annoying.
But you know what feels really good, talking circles around them.
Just flabbergasting these people with simple propositions or confounding them with rhetoric.
It feels good, I know I am idiot and they know it too and I feel as though they are deeply unsettled by the IQ difference and the ironic difference in "smartness" or being able to piece things together.

I really just despise the inauthenticity of them.
So self satisfied, their hubris knows no bounds.
Just nice to "poke 'em in the eyes" for lack of a better term.
>>
(btw, no one would believe this story, but the first time I took the exam, during the 15 minute break, I went into the bathroom, sat on the toilet, and slammed a shot of heroin.

It eded up being too much and I basically nodded out for next 20 minutes. If that section had not been experimental (you can try to look at other people's test problems very carefully and try to figure out experimental section), I would have been really fucked.

No one would ever believe that, but it's the absolute truth. Lol, what a way to start off my path to being an officer of the court! Committing a 3 part felony the day of the exam and inside the exam building!
>>
>>76773723
It has been a while since I've Taken the LSAT but the highest score, I believe is a 180. Also you shouldn't look at the raw score but the percentile weighting. Because the same numerical scores will give you different percentile rankings in different years.

wrong they downgraded it to 150 so that some little girl could join who at last check is doing poorly in school

pretty much. although, by chance, found by father's from the early 1970s. He was 5 points below my mean avg and in the 88th percentile, I was in the 96th percentile at 170.
>>
>>76775273
at a 150 LSAT score, the taker probably shouldn't even go to law school.
>>
>>76775319
I do know that genuine IQ and self-esteem have an inverse correlation, which is why people like Amy Bishop and the unabomber end up cracking.

the Batman theater shooter was probably ame sort of thing. I don't see what it does for you jus to say "I have a high IQ." Readily admiy that people with far lower IQs than I have but better social skills will end up making more shekels and having a happier life, I have no doubt about that.

I was just looking for some sort of place to meet people somewhat similar to me politically, but it would probably turn out to be bullshit.

No clue what you mean. Unless format has changed and I'm not aware, has always been 180 is perfect, 120 is lowest you could possibly get, 155 is average.

I did hear format was changing to include a writing section to allow the graders to add on extra points when they see the name "Shaniqua."

It does. when you are over the 88th or whatever percentile of people taking the LSAT, it puts you in the 99th overall percentile in the Us population.

which really isn't saying much since the US is now less than 65% White, and far less White people than that are taking the LSAT, but take it for what it is.

I've been reading things Snowden has put out. At this point, until and unless more peopl ebegin using Tor or other onion encryption, the best way to "go dark" is just to try to fit in with the population as much as possible.

The NSA can collect all data, their real issue is needing human beings to sort the data. The FBI and certainly JSOC already has Tor cracked, you can put money on that.

In fact, they even had to not introduce a piece of evidence into a pedo case bc it would reveal that they have cracked "the dark web."

At this stage, by using Tor, all you are ding is setting yourself apart as someone who is actively trying to stay off their radar and thus make yourself a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

As far as H, I stopped it a while ago, I needed it to keep from having a completely mental breakdown from the adderall I would use before big exams, and it worked well for that.

But now as I watch what's going on in South Africa (the MSM in the West has not been covering ANYTHING from South Africa these days-- they have no more freedom of the press, no more freedom of speech, no more anything..look into it, it's scary as fuck).

And, we in the US are no more than 10 years behind.

Bullshit. Unless you are an uber genious you are unlikely to develop an intuitive grasp of concepts like complete induction, good intuition in search strategies and all the other shit which you need to be proficient in logic puzzles.

Maybe if you spend your life solving all of Smullyan's puzzles extra training won't help, but most people are not proficient in that kind of thinking. Even intelligent ones.

No. I've had some IQ tests and it's about 115 -120.

I'm not academic. My job is a plumber. I fix pipes, install heating systems and showers among other things.
My wife is very academic; she's a doctor; pediatric anaesthetist. I don't understand anything she tells me about her work. I just say "yes, dear".She speaks in abbreviations. shit like "the BP was high so I got an IV". Utterly confusing. I sometimes wish I was as intelligent as her.

Our kids are clever. They do very well at school. Our eldest daughter wants to be a vet. Our son is a bit young for making his mind up.

I still can't stop laughing at this. you are so fucking pathetic, so fucking inadequate, that you set out to "expose me" and only exposed the reason you could never score over 140 on the fucking LSAT.

A 161 or 162 on the LSAR translates into..maybe 88%-90% ON THE EXAM, but a higher IQ 99% IN THE ENTIRE POPULATION.

BTW, dipship, my ean score from the 2x I took exam (166 and 174) did put me in the 99% of everyone who took the exam.

AND, I'll repeat-- you CANNOT STUDY FOR THE LSAT. You can get used to the format, but you cannot "study" how to improve your reading comp.-- as your are a perfect example

You're so fucking wrong. It's true that you can't study for the reading comp., but you absolutely can study for logic games and logical reasoning. You can even "break" the logic games if you buy the Powerscore Logical Games Bible and work through the whole thing once or twice.

Yeah that's true I guess. Practicing reading comp. will obviously make you better with timing and such. Everyone says it's the hardest to improve on, though. You can learn a system for logic games, for example, but with reading comp. someone who has read difficult material recreationally for years will have a huge advantage vs. a STEM major who doesn't read much.

>>
>>76782006
>but you absolutely can study for logic games and logical reasoning
I teach LSAT for Kaplan now to the children of privilege to earn summer shekels. Even their Jewish experts admit (never to the students of course) that you cannot "study" for the LSAT, you can merely familiarize yourself with format and develop strategies for how to best use your time, which can certainly improve scores for many people.

These are "test-taking strategies" though, not "studying" as in case of MCAT. If you disagree, take that up with the Jews at Kaplan who even tell their "teachers" that as part of your training, that info is direct from them. Not from me.

I repeat, you cannot "study" for something like the LSAT. You can merely familiarize yourself with the format of the test questions and train yourself in how best to use your time by...say, deciding to only do 4 of the 5 logic sections and to guess on the final section.

That is not "studying" though.
>>
>>76782706

>>
>>76782896

That's pure semantics. There are representation systems which can be learned and memorized to help you improve on logic games (like the Powerscore system). If you don't want to define that as "studying," but would prefer to call it "practicing," OK then. We essentially disagree on terms.

The LSAT is a different beast, testing different, though not necessarily more important, skills than the MCAT. Put another way, the LSAT is almost exclusively forward-looking where the MCAT (and PCAT for pharmacists) incorporates both forward-looking and rearward-looking aspects. Both, however, are standardized tests and as such operate within relatively narrow constraints. The question isn't whether you can study for the LSAT, you can. The question is what is the value of studying for the LSAT after you're familiar with the testing structure.
