In self studying Korean for 6 months i became better than people who had lived there for 5 years. The biggest problem is thst Im not even very smart or good with languages. Just studied a little and practiced with people.

Most jobs here very strongly encourage teachers to not use any Japanese (if they know any) with the students. The idea is to create English environments. It's a load of shit really, but there you go. Knowing Japanese is not a requirement at all.

Japan is great exactly because it's a monocultural society. Can you even imagine how peaceful a society is without muslims? Almost every job requires at least a bachelor's degree (any field is ok). With persistence and some luck you can probably find a job without a degree though, since you're from England. Being a native speaker has advantages, but a degree definitely helps.

From what I understand they've shifted almost the entirety of the blame on to the Imperial Japanese Army, and see the Japanese people as victims of WW2. Again, pretty much the opposite of Germany where they like to pretend that they're all to blame for WW2 and ought to shoulder the burden.

Japan is very quiet, very clean and very respectful. Overall it's very pleasant here. Their work culture is totally fucked though, and I'm not surprised that many adults, particularly the salarymen, are entirely miserable. The work culture is the only reason I'd never settle down here for good.
They don't have central heating, and that annoys me a lot. I hate aircons.

I get housing through my company. I actually have an apartment tour on YouTube (my friend has a video blog).
It's decent enough, but the kitchens are abysmal compared to Denmark. I do cook, but eating out is not super expensive. I use my rice cooker a lot, and get simple meat. It's survivable but not amazing. You'll get used to it though.
