I'd say with 99% certainty the earth has never been visited by extraterrestrials due to the limitations of distance to time spent traveling.
Now unless physics finds a way to harness dark matter or open worm holes then something may be possible but i highly doubt it because in 70 years we havent really advanced at all in terms of our methods of transportation. The best way to get to space is via rockets and that is your limited propulsion system. Traveling at or faster than the speed of light would be nigh impossible and even if we could i doubt many organisms would survive it let alone the ship.
If we built a vessel that could accelerate to light speed what would happen is the vessel would buckle, rip, and blast apart due to the force and anyone inside would be pancaked into salsa.
At best what you could get is unmanned probes exploring the galaxy.
That being said there are imo billions of other planets with life on them they will just in all likelyhood never interact with each other.
