Is it an issue of rights though? I always thought modern feminism was more about getting people to view others not for the colour of their skin/their gender/their appearance but the content of their character. About holding women to a higher intellectual standard (the same as men) and encouraging people to view them based off their ideals more than their gender or body. Honestly I'm not sure if this is explicitly stated by them often, but I'm fairly certain this is what the better ones are trying to achieve.
