I understand a few things about the US political system but, as an outsider, I'm no expert.

From some of the numbers I've seen it just doesn't look like a closable gap.

Reassure me burgers. Explain that he only needs to win a few key states.

Pennsylvania.
>>
>>76577495
No. You're showing the best case scenario for trump. If you want to be realistic, reverse the numbers and see what Hillary will do if she gets the extra 5 points.

Trump is unelectable in the general.

If it wasn't for the large number of completely unrealistic anti-government nihilists and reality TV watchers in the republican primary he'd be a footnote and not a major party candidate.

Trump need the typical repuican strongholds and then just 4 battleground states: Florida, Virginia and Pennsylvania and one other
Realclearpolitics indicates there may be as many as 14 battleground states and trump has plans to campaign in 15 states. He doesn't even need a 3rd of his goal to win

All Trump has to do is increase the Republicans share of the white vote by 4% and increase white turnout by 4% compared to 2012 in order to win. Even in the event of historic Latino turnout and historic Latino support for the Democratic ticket, this still holds true.

When the hell was this made? If Trump goes up by +5% in the latest polls, he would win in a landslide.

Seriously, just use magical unicorns next time to explain it.

When you've already got the highest percentage of a group and its the group that votes the most, saying you'll get even more of them and they'll vote even more frequently doesn't work.
>>
>>76581233
>trump won't turn out working class whites and win more of them
Wew, that's literally his strongest demographic of support.
>>
>>76577495
That map must be really old. Some of those states they show going blue are ties currently.
>>
>>76581233
4% is a small number. Four pennies doesn't even add up to a nickel. The REAL challenge is the College White Vote, and we'll see if he manages to pull it off. Right now he isn't.
>>
>>76581385
He still wins the white and the college degree vote even in the polls that have Clinton up.
>>
>>76577495
I can't take any map serious that doesn't have Nevada being won by Trump.
>>
>>76581686
He's tied even with Clinton. He needs to win that demographic by at least seven points, if not more.
>>
>>76581233
Uneducated white working class Americans have largely checked out of the voting process altogether because they constantly get fucked by both parties. They are flocking to Trump's campaign this election.

As >>76581385 said, if Trump can win the college white vote as well, he will win the election handily. He and Clinton are tied at 44% with this demographic right now, which is several points behind where Romney was. However, Trumps share of the non-college white vote is so far ahead of what Romney's was he's gaining ground with whites as opposed to loosing it.

Clinton is fucked.
>>
>>76581233
Obama isn't on the ballot, my nigga. Non-hispanic whites will cast a larger percentage of the vote this year.

Here is what I would like to know about Trump. Maybe someone here knows. He is already thr presumptive GOP nominee. If he were to win the Presidency, wouldn't he have to transfer his business holdings and stocks to a blind trust? He can't just hand them over to his kids for a while. Cheney had to do the same thing with his Haliburton holdings if I remember correctly. So, is trump willing to do this? Do you think he's even considered it yet?

huge turn out at the rally. my favorite part was as we were leaving there was a big group of (((protestors))) outside waving mexican flags. as i approached a crowd had already formed around them. they were shouting something about mexico, so i got riled up and ran over and starting screaming "BUILD THE WALL, BUILD THE WALL, BUILD THE WALL!!!" No. There is zero chance Trump can win.

In 2009, one million grass roots conservatives who would eventually become the core of the Trump movement marched on Washington in protest of the progressive policies the Democrats were pushing. There was no violence, no riots, no arrests.

You can't even get 100 progressives together for a rally without flag burning, car tipping, and rioting taking place. The "conservatives are violent" meme needs to die. Such bravado, but you and I both know that Hillary simply won't hold up under the constant drum beat of Trump's vastly superior marketing machine. I don't think it will be a landslide, but he will win both the popular and electoral vote and the most accurate statistical model in existence (only wrong once in 102 years with a 96.1% accuracy rate), says that Trump vs. Hillary results in a 97% probability that Trump will win the general election:

https://www.sbstatesman.com/2016/02/23/political-science-professor-forecasts-trump-as-general-election-winner/

The depth of her problems are very severe and she is on the wrong side or has flipped continuously on every topic and policy element she is campaigning on. Additionally, there are macro-political and geo-political issues working against the DNC as a whole. All the Huff-Poll and CNN betting pool numbers simply don't reflect the reality of what is happening on the ground and it's why the establishment has been mystified by the events of this election cycle.

Polls are one thing, but can Hillary actually motivate people to vote for her? Yeah, she has her soccer moms and city blacks, but can she motivate Bernie millennials to come out for her? Can she motivate the far left to vote for a Wall Street insider? I doubt it. She doesn't have a compelling message other than "I'm a woman!".

Will calling Trump a racist, sexist, bigot, etc for 6 months straight work? It will get stale quickly.

Will the violent leftist mobs waving Mexican flags, bludgeoning police, destroying property, and blocking traffic make Hillary look good? Nope.

If Clinton gets indicted she's done. Look what happened to General Petraeus. That man likely would have been president one day but his fuck up got him driven out of the CIA and ruined his future political career. And this man was a national hero. The people who had to investigate him, try him, and sentence him admired the hell out of him. The same can't be said about Clinton. Law Enforcement hates her, the military hates her, etc. Her only allies are donors and establishment politicians, neither of which can help her in anyway with an FBI investigation and both of which will drop her once the indictment comes as she will be politically toxic.

A few things wrong with that. One, there weren't a million people at that rally. The highest estimate was 600k to 800k, while the lower estimates tended to be around 200k to 300k (both ends of that being from event organizers, so any bias is in their favor).

Second, about a year later liberals marched on Washington with almost equal numbers and there were absolutely no reports of violence.
>>
>>76577495
Don't listen to polls.

I've lived in two vastly different states (Florida and Missouri) in the past year, and I have yet to find a single Hillary supporter outside of the "fat, bitter, menopausal woman" demographic. All Bernie supporters want to do is burn the establishment down, and the longer he drags on with this convention shit, the more bitter they'll be towards Hillary. All Bernie's bots are belong to us. We also make up the majority demographic here.

If you want to know for certain, you have to be here in the US and put your ear to the ground to find out. This is absolutely, 120% Trump's election to lose. Trump addressed Trump University; Clinton hasn't said hardly shit about "Clinton Cash," Benghazi, etc. With ISIS in a furor and Hillary being secretive and dismissive, this will be a Trump landslide. Stay tuned.

the deal is that in the 2012 and 2008 elections, the turnout was only 55%, with college graduates voting at about 75-80% and highschool graduates and highschool dropouts voting at much lower percents.

most current predictions and polling organisations will be looking at these previous demographics who are likely to vote and tehy will be looking at them in those propotions.

They are extrapolating the past into the future.

However when an election seems close or important people vote at higher turnouts.

Educated people, who are more anti-trump, already have high voter turnout. there is not much potential for them to gain votes more than they already have.

However IF trump can achieve enough energisation, and enough mobilisation of the less-educated voters, then he'll be able to achieve unprecedented victories.

There is some tentative evidence that he is able to do that.
The fact that republican primary voter turnouts have been something like 25% higher than former years for instance.

It's a long shot, but if Trump can keep the campaign high energy and get everyone who supports him to turn out, he could make it happen.

The key is that he needs to remain high energy.
make people inerested, excited, motivated to vote and get their country back.

people saying "it's hopeless" will hinder this. People won't vote if they think that they've already lost and their vote won't turn it around.

So you need to counter pessimistic messages.
Trump needs to continue his media domination
Trump needs the republica party to get him funds to do a strong ad campaign.

It's difficult but possible.

No, there isn't. People vote very predictably inside their demographics, and those demographics have been tipping blue for decades. There are more people in the US that expect the government to tax others and give them free shit than there are actual responsible people now, and that will never change. Democrat strategy of importing votes and dividing us into everyone vs men with money has worked. Conservatives are done.

In reality, 30% of Americans are Democrats, 43% are independents, and 26% are Republicans.

This means that Reuters sampled:

>Republicans: +8

Both Republicans and Independents skew for Trump. The only way they got their polls to skew for Hillary was oversampling Democrats

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/06/09/obama_i_am_worried_about_the_republican_party.html

PRESIDENT OBAMA: The truth is I am actually worried about the Republican Party. This country works when you have two parties that are serious and trying to solve problems. And they’ve got philosophical differences and they have fierce debates and they argue and they contest elections. But at the end of the day, what you want is a healthy two party system... You want the Republican nominee to be somebody who could do the job if they win.

So I am actually not enjoying, and I haven’t been enjoying over the last seven years, watching some of the things that have happened in the Republican Party because there’s some good people in the Republican Party.

But what’s happened in that party culminating in this current nomination, I think is not actually good for the country as a whole. It’s not something Democrats should wish for. And my hope is, is that maybe once you get through this cycle, there’s some corrective action and they get back to being a center right party

Trump is literally just fucking with everyone at this point.
He knows he can use the MSM to campaign all day every day in all 50 states.

Wait a second what? After 1945, the top tax rate went down to 91% and stayed that way throughout the 50s. Why does this graph dip down into the lower 80s in the late 40s?

I'm sure it was a couple million at most when he did it...We are talking about a chunk of the American population.

But...When I was over my parents house on mothers day and we started talking politics my mom was literally in tears because the America she grew up in was gone and the only way to give her grandkids a real future was to do something extreme.....She apologized for voting Dem. for her entire life

The amount of redpills this election has dished out is amazing

Only not.

30% of the country's GDP is public spending. Somehow this is a travesty and the nation literally cannot function on less.

Except for all the times it did, all during a time so recent that there are people alive who remember it and were paying taxes then.

If you want trump to win you need to get the green party, or some other 3rd party, supported in the blue states that arent all or nothing in the electoral college.

All or nothing electoral states are kind of killing dimocracy desu senpai

>thinks that Hillary will debate Trump

You cuck - Clinton will NEVER a debate Trump.

dnd for the same reason that Cameron won't Debate Boris John or Nigel Farage face to face. Both of them know that an elitist can't compete head to head with a populist.

There will be NO debate.

hardly. With the amount of illegals, displaced nogs from Chicago, and Somalis up there it'll be as blue as it always has.

Do something extreme is right.

If you aren't saving up and buying a house or sizable asset to pass down, the income of your children will be looted. You will be at the mercy of your feudal landlords.

My parents gave me a down payment for a house at the bottom of the market. Today that house is worth double what I paid. I rent two of the bedrooms to friends and live here for free.

As a result, I can actively choose a lower income, or meaningfully save nearly all my income. My savings potential is more than 5 times that of my peers, even the ones who earn more than I do.

All because taxes are assessed heavily on income, leaving citizens no way to build their way into wealth.
