He ended up with a culturally influential format that ended up influencing western culture as we know it.
I remember when m00t "cucked" /pol/ shortly after gamergate, with the big black dick worship and what not, and the trigger warnings everywhere, and people on /pol/ took it as a personal attack. To me, that was the sign that m00t had lost track entirely of the pulse of the site - some people didn't think the site was a joke anymore and m00t wasn't aware of that. I remember him saying in his final interview he did it because he wanted to bring back the old atmosphere of 4chan, where the admins did dumb shit and so did the moderators and so did the users, but all it did was reveal the fact that he had lost touch with the userbase.
