Am I allowed to live in Israel if I marry an Israeli Jew? Can I marry a new as an atheist or will I have to "convert"? The process is long and painstaking, ESPECIALLY by the standards of the Rabbis of Israel, you will have to study for a year or more and deal with Rabbis who will try to discourage you from converting, ESPECIALLY if they know you are doing it for marriage. I'd not tell them about it honestly, because if the marriage ends and you stop practicing they will see you as their fault.
Rabbis must also reject you according to the Torah, they will schedule meetings with you and "forget" to show up, they will be rude to you, they will not return your calls, etc.

I'm converting, it takes a while. I lived a secular life and found it lacking. I wanted a religion that was very close to the book, but also kept to itself. Judaism fit the bill, so I began that journey.
I respect any observant religious person though (except the weird culty ones like the pagans and mormons, fuck those guys), it takes a lot of determination to observe scripture every day.
