Protip: Having enough officers together with passing over huge masses of land was always a problem for russia. Even in WW1, the Tsar had to take officers early out of officer school in order to get some shit done.... even people that only had 6-12 month training.. and it still wasn´t enough. And for helping with the huge supply lines covering russia all the way to berlin? Guess where all these vehicles (trains, trucks, transport planes etc) came from? Certainly not from the soviet union, because they lost nearly all of them at the first few month of operation barbarossa.
But I´m sure that the SU somehow suddenly finished training enough officers in 1942 which got them the edge. It´s not like they slowly prepared for war starting in the 30s and could have started that sooner right?
