I was born in '95 and has lived in the bay area all my life. During my first semester at a university in SF, in "communications" class, I, thankfully, have a high enough level of self-awareness to catch the indoctrination as it was happening. Our instructor literally pulled up a webpage that asks for people to pledge to not use """derogatory""" terms online and in real life. I could not believe that a university level class would stoop so low and kneel with their heads touching the floor to not "offend" other people. University brainwashing is really simple to catch. Our lives aren't more stressful but they are different when it comes to stress. There is a definite generational gap between millennials and they're parents which all stems from the changes in economy.
