I knew who he was but I never really liked him, I thought he was a tacky egomaniac with a need for attention and approval. Which he still is, mind you. But back when I really learned more about him other than "he's that rich guy" he was deep into birther territory and the media was having a field day. Then he announced his candidacy and at first I was like, ok, this dude is certified nuts. It was painfully hard to watch his early rallies because if you don't understand him, he just sounds rambling and frankly, stupid and pointless. But he quickly grew on me because the media made a shitshow of his perfectly fine comments on illegal immigration and tried to paint him in all kinds of ways. My main political belief is "fuck the media" so immediately I tuned into what Trump was saying and I thought to myself, hey, he's actually right. My distrust of the media did the rest and I dismissed any and all criticism to the God Emperor. Around September I became an actual hardcore Trump supporter of the "nobody else but him" kind, and with the /pol/ memes I never looked back. Now I actually enjoy his rallies, although I still cringe thinking of anyone not used to him trying to make sense of his rambling rally "speeches" tbqh famalam.
