I honestly don't believe there are too many people who believe any of these extreme positions. They are both politicians pandering to certain demographics. There is some understandable disdain for Trump in regards to race primarily because he over simplifies things that stigmatize illegals and Muslims. I don't understand how Trump supporters could actually be confused why people don't like it when he says 'illegals are criminals and rapists, and only some are good people'.
