Gary Johnson doesn't support outlawing guns. Throwing away Peterson's gun was an incredibly stupid move, but he has stated on numerous occasions that he supports gun ownership even though he himself doesn't own any guns (that I know of). He also doesn't support open borders like you are implying. He wants to let only the good Mexicans in (via a legal process). The only reason he agrees with ~70% of Sanders platform is because of social issues (ending the drug war/prison industrial complex, ending anti-prostitution laws, preventing any laws against gay marriage, gun freedom, etc.). They disagree on finance issues (Sanders is financially illiterate and supports lots of regulation on the financial services industry (by using them as a scapegoat for all problems in the US), while Johnson is not, and supports less regulation). Additionally, Johnson is not a supporter of SJWs or BLM like Sanders is. He sees that there is a problem with the police, but doesn't blame racism. He understands that the militarization of local police forces and an increase in no-knock raids have caused some issues where police have injured/killed innocents, but he doesn't try to pull the "cops are racist" bullshit like Sanders does.

Not necessarily, Johnson does pretty well with Sanders supporters. He doesn't buy into the SJW bullshit or the financial illiteracy, but they agree on a lot of other issues like freedom to own guns, demilitarizing the police forces (Johnson wants it for freedom, but Sanders just says it's because of racism), ending the legislation of 'morality'. Trump is very different from Sanders. He will gain some of Sanders followers, and plenty of them just won't vote (thankfully, Sanders energized a portion of the electorate that is least likely to vote, lol). Ultimately, Trump will probably win, Clinton will freak the fuck out and probably kill someone (before being indicted by the FBI), and Johnson will get >5% of the popular vote meaning that the libertarian party will be eligible for federal funding going forward. Finally, Sanders will finally shut the hell up about things he clearly doesn't understand.

You can either have open boarders or a welfare state. You can't have both though. If a country wants to provide for its people it has to control it's people in particular how many there are and what they do. If a country wants to let anyone come in and do what ever they want, they can't possibly effectively provide for its people, that has to be in the hands of the free market. They are two very different but morally sound forms of government. It's what self-determination is all about. Any form of government can work with the right people. It's why we need our own countries. The only international laws should govern things like war and add to that no country should be able to force a citizen to STAY, no country has to let them in, but holding a citizen against there will should be a crime
