ITT: Why I left libertarianism
Seriously, who the hell supports libertarian candidates now? They were just a meme when there was no real alternative to neocon scum within the GOP.

Pretty much how I saw it...ron paul was popular because he was anti-establishment, now we have Trump there is no need for libertarianism.

All it took was a hand full of people to ruin the convention on the election cycle libertarians had the best chance of accomplishing anything. Not just naked fat guy, but John Mcaffee for going full SJW and whining about muh white males and then leading his cult following to throw their influence away by voting for nobody. Garry Johnson compromised on too many issues (after criticizing Rand for compromising too much) and made himself MORE controversial for it, and then he picked the least popular person to be his VP.
Best chance the party has is to hope Trump wins so that the next election will be just as good for them, and then to replace Garry Johnson with Austin Peterson. On the other hand, if the Democrats win, they can just hope Rand does better next time.

>libertarianism, self-ownership, NAP and property rights are all a priori true
>but we may still violate them when I say so
It's a nice thought, but at the end of the day you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Instead of Republican-v-Democrat or TrumpNationalist-v-Globalist, I want TrumpNationalist-v-Libertarian.

>being a lolbertarian in the first place
can someone link that video where a kike keeps screaming "we are that lgbt degenerate libertarians" and on and on?
>>75600052
>implying that a society full of degeneracy can ever become libertarian
Gotta break some eggs to make an omelet. Unless someone is full retard up their own ass about morality, they know that a libertarian society will only be possible once there's cultural homogeny, no mudslimes and no liberals. A predominately white populace would go a long way too.
The fact that he has an Iron Cross tattoo makes it so much better

>A libertarian society where everyone thinks, looks, and acts the same
>b-b-but collectivism never works!
>>75601559
Yeah but you will have to break your own principles to enforce them. Which means you have no principles. And it's not a one-time thing that has to be done to create the society either, it's something that has to be done again and again because degenerates and people of different thought will keep spawning.
Hoppe is just contradictory and self-refuting. He's a crypto-fascist who is caught up in his love for sociopathic self-serving autism.

If you aren't free to think how you want, then you aren't free at all. As great as a world with out commies would be, you're being unrealistic.
The only possible reason you could want the goal post to be put in imagination land is if you don't really believe in libertarianism in the first place.

One of my best friends is a Garry Johnson loving lolbertarian. I constantly BTFO of him on issues like immigration, crime, and policing.
He usually resorts to the "there are hundreds of variables we aren't accounting for"meme after a tired debate.
Almost as delusional as liberals but at least they understand the importance of personal liberties.
