I rewatched SPR after not seeing it for about 4-5 years and it has to be one of the GOATest movies of all time.
The movie does an amazing job at capturing the emotions of WWII soldiers, the 'brotherhood' bond between them during those intense and traumatic battles and those moments where they reminisce about their lives before the war.
Of course the Omaha beach scene is one of the most awesome scenes in any movie.
