Average IQ is only one part of the equation. The other part is population size. There aren't many Ashkenazim. Only a few million. Compared to hundreds of millions of whites or over a billion East Asians.
Why does population matter? Well, a thought experiment. How do you raise the average IQ of a population? You kill the least intelligent person.
