It all plays into the image he's established, as a go-getter, always on the move, always jumping feet first into some new experience. Meanwhile, where's Hillary? Somewhere in some conference room somewhere. Never doing anything. Never being exciting, or generating excitement, never saying or doing bold things and capturing the nation's imagination.
It almost doesn't matter who wins. The fight itself will be more than Hillary has given us. The audience will walk away disappointed when they remember Bernie can't win and this was a one-time thing, and Hillary is their actual candidate. Imagine how many Democrats and independents that will depress?
When are people going to realize that Trump knows what he's doing? I've never seen so many people ignore so much evidence for something.

Trump is going to throw the debate to Bernie on purpose before the last democrat primaries to put more heat on Hillary as she loses in the polls. Either:

or
