Soviets on the other hand while having shit policies in economic terms provided people hope for the future if they only accepted a certain ideological way of life. This makes a huge difference since most people only wish for happiness and hope for future. This is also why the now dead american dream created one of the greatest nations on earth but this is also why america is crumbling since the possibilities of rising from the bottom to the top have been made so hard it is like playing through dark souls 2 without dying once.
