>Apple and Samsung supplier Foxconn has reportedly replaced 60,000 factory workers with robots.
>One factory has "reduced employee strength from 110,000 to 50,000 thanks to the introduction of robots", a government official told the South China Morning Post.
>Xu Yulian, head of publicity for the Kunshan region, added: "More companies are likely to follow suit."

>In a statement to the BBC, Foxconn Technology Group confirmed that it was automating "many of the manufacturing tasks associated with our operations" but denied that it meant long-term job losses.

Weve nearly passed the slippery slope, once job losses as a result of automation becomes the new normal, corporations will automate their whole operations. Now they just have to play the waiting game, so then the goyim wont know what hit them untill its too late.

> by 2020 there will be hundreds of millions unemployed chink factory workers trying to make a better living abroad

The Unemployed masses envisioned by St. Marx will emerge. All hail the capitalocalypse and the destruction of our societies.

This is one of the many problems with massive unskilled workers sneaking into Europe and North America.

Once the robots replace their low-skill/low-pay jobs, we're left with tens of millions of uncivilized welfare leeches who are even more likely to cause trouble because they're idle.

well those jobs wont be coming back so its not a victory. its kinda like if they cant have them nobody can

given the contraction in the global economy its just a mater of time before every one accepts there is a new recession and support for the current political factions in control falls apart

What's the alternative? A neo-fuedal society ruled by the owners of the machines? Fuck that shit.

Time for a WW3 there are too many useless eaters for the elites now.
>>
>>75137976
This is just another terrible reminder that there are far too many people on this planet, yet we keep making more and more.

There will be wars and revolutions because of this, if not soon, eventually.

Automation will hit China harder than anyone. China has risen and fallen faster and harder than any other Civilization. This shit gonna put tens of millions of Chinese out of work and shit will hit the fan.

Not quite true. Textile industry, for example, moved from China to Vietnam and now to Cambodia. Same will happen for many other manufacturing jobs. For the time being, exploiting the corruption in 3rd world countries where human lives aren't worth anything at all is still cheaper than robots.

This was inevitable. This is probably a new turning point for automation.

Are robots building robots? Just go to Panasonic and build the robots..

How long until the robots begin the standard Foxconn practice of suicide?

>This is just the start
Remember when everyone dismissed claims that "loyal" American, Australian, Canadian and Europeans companies would outsource their labour to China because only a few major companies went to China in the 80s and everyone were saying China is corrupt piece of shit of a country that would never be competitve with the west? More than 20 years later, 99 percent of light goods are now made in China and most western manufacturing hubs that have existed since the industrial revolution were essentually wiped out by cheap labour in China. Change these days happen at an exponential rate my friend.

Thats why China is investing genetic engineering technologies like crispr. It wants to create a population with an average IQ above 110 or for atleast a big chunk of a population will be geniuses so then they wont have to depend on foreign companies to create high tech and service jobs.
