Yeah, you get it now. That's the fundamental difference between Christianity (mainly protestantism) and Islam. The bible is up for interpretation because it is not written by God, but rather by men. This doesn't mean that you can't find something divine in it, but it isn't the word of God. The cool thing about the NT is that we have four diverging stories about Jesus.
The Quaran however is the direct word of allah, which is not up for interpretation. This is part of why muslims are so fucking stupid.
