What is your opinion on street preachers and those who react to them?

There is almost a guarantee of leftist butthurt, and since their arguments are almost entirely religious it's difficult to apply secular politics to them.
Have you had any personal experiences with street preachers?

Matthew Chapter 6: 1 Beware of practicing your piety before others in order to be seen by them; for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 5 “And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. 6 But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

When I tried pamphleteering I got arrested.

Good point, but they argue that they are not pious. The openairoutreach guy openly states that he's a sinner (did drugs, whored around, etc) but repented. His argument is that he's not proclaiming himself to be better, but that God will have mercy on him because of his repentance and rejection of sin.
They're not praying in the streets, they're warning.

Where did you try pampleteering?

So they are fucking nuts and still decide to go against the bible?
>>75012548
No, they are not practicing their piety or praying.
They argue that they are warning others of their dangers. OpenAirOutreach is probably the most relatable, he states he's no better than the others and that the only difference is that he's repented. He still says he's deserving of Hell, only that he's saved because of his penance (meaning more than feeling sorry).
His thing is more of a "warning, guys please listen!" instead of the "oh ho, look how pious I am!" that the Matthew verse is about.
Brother Dean is certifiably insane, though. Not sure about the guy in the first because he hardly speaks at all.

A local shopping center.
The pamphlets weren't for anything mainstream, though, that's an important detail. Really the religious aspect was just to lend legitimacy to the unrelated issue I was trying to push.
The arrest didn't go anywhere, obscenity laws are bullshit.
Who the hell cares? I'm atheist and just pretty much ignore them. I honestly dont see why people let this shit get to them.

I'm glad you weren't arrested. I think "pamphleteering" should be protected under free speech.

"But you're ignoring your own damnation!"
