It began as an autonomous movement and then was exploited by the Liberal establishment of the 60s and 70s to deflect from actual issues, just like the rest of the hippie and student movements of the time (aka the original SJWs). The Jewish market then co-opted them and by the early 90s pornography became 100 percent socially acceptable as laws were passed to protect it under the 1st Amendment. As most degeneracy which originates in America it didn't take long to spread around the world, they timed it that way just so that people would start accepting more and more of a pornofied culture as the Internet rose.
The "sexual liberation" of the 60s and 70s didn't make people any more free sexually it just subsidized those who were already equipped with sexual prowess or natural beauty to enjoy themselves in the most base and ultimately degrading form, and for the industrialization of sexuality to emerge as something considered "normal" and an extension of the sexual liberation and women's sufferage (and eventually Queer rights) movements
It belongs to the larger trend of taking Leftist movements, which on their own I find disagreeable but more for their impracticality and childishness rather than any real threat to "the Establishment" (as I would like to see the same Establishment fall and see the "genuine" moments of Leftist or liberal movements as a hindrance for reasons you'll see in a moment) that were started for "freedom" and using their internal, innate negation of freedom not only against them but against society as a whole. That's why Progressivism/socialism/liberalism fails every time, because the higher orders, the Jews, the globalists who conspire with the Jews, and so on, are able to exploit the lack of freedom inherent in pretty much every Leftist ideology to its extreme, destroying my ability to live as freely as possible for my own benefit.
