People are not open to it, but Clinton/Bush/Obama efforts of racial address have slow and quietly stopped. Section 8 vouchers are no longer given to families to integrate them into prosperous white neighbourhoods, but specially made neighbourhoods. The "Mexican System" was pulled back to series of border fences and barrier and garrison towns. Economically, their policies were focused on rebuilding the US industrial bases. They are embarking a series of new infrastructure plans, such as repairing the rail and highway system and upgrading the water systems of major cities. The electrical system has been geared towards moving away from dependence on any foreign oil reserves.
While it certainly right wing, other than its immigration policies, it's hard to pigeon-hole it. Comparative political scientists have called it a "Gaullist" regime. While the Trump campaign certainly foreshadowed it, it much less isolationist than it.

They are in flux. The Republicans have a stronghold on state governments and the House, while the Democrats held the Senate and the Presidency. Thanks to the Clinton, the Democrats have split apart, allowing Sythme to come to power as the National Party candidate.
