Really two only logical reasons I can see for why people think like this:
1. Future doesn't look too bright. In first world countries, most people with a brain can see that they likely have no chance of ever fully owning a home, having a decent car, and still having some cash to spend. Wages are low, home prices are high, women are whores, alimony is a thing, etc. So many ways to get fucked and even more when you also add a few extra humans for you to be responsible for. Unless the tables turn, which seems unlikely, comfort in life is a lot easier without kids. This also sort of plays with the massive delusion that most people seem to think they are destined to be millionaires in their life when they are really just going to be wageslaves. The numbers just don't add up right now. You need two incomes to own a nice home and then you have to spend like 300k on a kid throughout their lifetime (that 1M number is complete bullshit and likely a jew psyop).
Which leads to my next theory...
2. Infinite youth complex. People today just don't rally seem to think they're ever going to get old. 30 is the new 20! And i'm not talking about getting to 60; I mean that 20 year olds seem to think they're going to be doing the same things they are now when they're 40. Young men seems to think they'll still be at a club every Friday/Saturday fucking skanks and getting bombed. They think anybody is going to care that they can finally afford a high end sportscar when they're 45. They think that the times will change and they won't be left in the dust. Until they wake up at 40 with a bald head and flabby stomach with only really odd fat divorcees interested in fucking them after the Viagra kicks in. By the time they all realize that it's just a cheap thrill it'll already be too late.
