If you look at men from previous generations, you find that even autistic betas got wives and had families. I was bedridden from 2012-2015. Its a long story i wont tell but the point is that except for doctors visits one to twice a week i was bound to my bed with only 4chan keeping me from going insane.
Once i started rehabilitation i was shocked to see how much people had changed. The two biggest things that stood out to me were that being gay was now completely considered to be normal and that on mass men seemed to have become much more girly and emasculated than what i was used too.

I would say that socially dominant, action-taking, gregarious males are and have always been a minority. The difference in our time period is that the other ~80% no longer aspire to a high standard of masculinity and traditional definitions of success. I'm not that frightened about this trend though.
