Yep. That's really catholisim main problem: most non-Catholics don't actually know what catholics belive.
For instance, many people love to bring up the diea that God can't be all-loving because of hell. However, they are almost always unaware that the Catholic church teaches that Hell is merely a place where God has absolutely no presence, and the people who are sent there are sent there because the way they acted in life clearly shows that they wouldn't like spending all eternity in heaven, as the code of conduct there clashes majorly with what the person likes.
That's why I hate the new pope, he could be ending all the confusion about the church, as charismatic and personable as he is, instead he panders to leftists, gets to involved in earthly poltics, and a whole bunch of other bullshit.
