Yes, because healthy people must subsidize the unhealthy! Sure, it sounds nice, but in reality it's retarded as fuck. It's one thing to subsidize genetic disorders, but we're also forced to subsidize obesity and smoking. These people SHOULD pay more for their insurance. They use significantly more health services than healthy people.
All of this redistribution n the name of "equality" is clearly just a facade for people looking to financially benefit when they stand to gain. It's never rational or sustainable in the long run. No matter how hard the government tries they can never make everything "equal" without the system eventually running out of money.

On point with health care. National insurance does not work when more than half the population already have pre-existing condition (ie, weight, which leads to many more chronic illness). Obama care isn't socialized medicine in any means, but what it did is drive up deductible and premiums for those who don't need the services while limiting their options for plans.
No doubt it helps those with illness that insurance wouldn't cover, but as a whole it was poorly thought out and doesn't address the causes of the problem, but only the symptoms.
