While they were calling the Germans "Huns" and fighting for "Freedom", they were plotting to reestablish Britain's premier economic and imperial position and make territorial gains for France, the Czechs, etc. and refused to let the soldiers stop fighting a ridiculous and stalemated war which nobody entered for the purpose of eliminating the opponents' freedoms.
Before WWII, the Germans found themselves with segments of their population taken away from them, their economy permanently being raped , the Communists plotting to take over Europe (see: German revolution of '18-'19 and Communist Russia), and Poland refusing to reasonably negotiate over a simple train service to Danzig (one Polish president was actually friendly and was negotiating, but died and was replaced by someone who didn't care to negotiate at all).
Unless evidence appears (it probably never will) for the alleged Polish attack on German soil and/or the persecution of Germans in Poland, then yes, you can gleefully say that Hitler started WWII (and the allies let the communists invade Poland and other parts of Europe unhindered). But it's ultimately Britain and France's fault for refusing not to interfere in what should have been a one-on-one conflict and then helping the Germans to face off with the communists if not simply invading them and restore the previous governments of the countries that it incorporated. The problem was that they were yet again blinded by desire to keep a dominant economic stance and the territorial gains of WWI.
