Yep. Other things to look for: check the bike post to see if it's securely in the ground or has been cut or loosened in any way. Make sure the ulock is tight so they can't get a prybar in there. Lock the front wheel AND the frame to the post, and if in a high nigger area, carry at least a gift ribbon to lock the back wheel, too. They can also steal the bike seat, so buy a bike that needs a special tool to remove the seat and isn't just a flip latch. If you're really serious carry the bike seat with you (some actually do this.) If you're hyper serial, just carry the entire bike with you at all times. If locking it up in a high crime area, try to keep it in your sight at all times. I had to do this while on vacation...went to a restaurant that my sjw libfuck host declined to tell me was in a literal ghetto. Where I grew up, nobody locked their bikes up. Nobody locked their homes or their trucks either though. And truck keys were just left in the truck at all times.
When I moved into the city, I learnt to start locking things right quick though.
First week, I had a guy walk into my place, and when I said hello he just fucking ran. Next week, guy asked to borrow my phone for a second to make a call, I let him and he tried to run away. It was fucking insane.
