People dump shit on there all the time. It depends on the nature of the content. Some sites are basically anonymous leak dropboxes where you can go and dump whatever you want.
I've seen the most random stuff on there. One video I remember was a guy that reuploaded some fucked up orgy sextape. He said the video was popular in the mid 90s and destroyed a lot of people's reputations. I had no idea what he was referring to. Another was a series of videos from the early 2000s of a guy who spied on his girlfriend with cameras. Hours and hours of her getting changed, having family over for dinner, doing homework, etc.
Then we go into software examples, such as discontinued games still in beta mode being uploaded so people can play them. Like I said, people upload all sorts of "lost" stuff on there all the time, stuff the lost media wiki claims is gone forever, and all types of random and rare information of various natures.
I have seen two different videos from the "Lost recordings of violent incidents" category or whatever it's called now. They looked genuine and everything happened in the video that people in descriptions claimed it did. If I describe what the videos were, then people will once again threaten me and I don't want to deal with that right now.

Yeah it was talked about a lot, especially growing up. During a fitness class they made us once run the route where Kristen French was abducted. It was a little weird. Also I had a college professor who was the lead investigator on the case. He told us a story about going to Texas with bones of the victims in order to identify markings where they were cut in order to determine what type of blade was used to dismember the bodies.

I think that still applies nowadays. If I had been sent to a jury and had to listen to a tape of a murder, I'd be pretty shaken even though I see guro and snuff on the internet a lot. I think its the factor that you're sharing the same building as the guy who did it, that you get a lot more information on the victim than you would online, so you get more sympathetic towards the victim, and you're probably gonna listen to the tape in a lot higher detail and quality than online, it kind of rattles you hard.
