>>
>>74246547
It doesn't heat per se, it's like wearing a coat. If it is thick enough, it will keep all your body heat, and adding more layers will not change your body heat amount. We have so much greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, that the heat is melting global ice caps and raising the sea levels. That causes floods n shiet. Even if this was not created by humans, we are definitely a contributing factor and letting nature do it's thing would ultimately cause our extinction.

>>
>>74246662
Massive battery banks are needed for Nuclear energy as well. If you want you can read about it, but a nuclear power station is essentially the opposite of a solar pannel, it works all day everyday. The problem with that is that you can not regulate how much energy goes to the grid, so all excess energy is stored in batteries. We will need batteries for most power stations anyway and therefore it is not a talking point.

> that the heat is melting global ice caps and raising the sea levels

Except this isn't even true.

The northern ice caps are melting. You naively assume this is related to global temperature trends.

The truth is that the ice has been blackened by Chinese soot on the north pole. We are literally painting the northern ice cap black, it absorbs more sunlight, hence it melts faster.

This explains why the southern ice cap is growing (no soot pollution), but the northern ice cap is shrinking.

Soot pollution has explanatory property consistent with observation; global warming does not.

>It doesn't heat per se, it's like wearing a coat. If it is thick enough, it will keep all your body heat, and adding more layers will not change your body heat amount.

That's not quite the same. Body heat is internally generated and radiates out. It is internally regulated. The earth traps heat from the sun.

>We have so much greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, that the heat is melting global ice caps and raising the sea levels. That causes floods n shiet.

Sea levels have been rising at a predictable rate for thousands of years. It's the result of emerging from an ice age.

>Even if this was not created by humans, we are definitely a contributing factor and letting nature do it's thing would ultimately cause our extinction.

Bull shit. A 1-3 degree increase in average global temperature is no threat to humans or most other species on earth. The day to day variance is more than that.

If we make millions of species go extinct just to slightly improve our comfort levels, guess what? We fucking can, and that's perfectly natural, because we're the goddamn apex.

If an animal species wants to not die forever, it better be goddamn useful to the apex predator, otherwise it'll be wiped out like the lesser species it fucking is. That's the only reason the buffalo are still around - because we decided they could earn an existence by being eaten by us.

There is no mass extinction. If you ask someone what is going extinct, they'll tell you maybe some obscure beetles and other insects. Maybe. Somewhere. They can find a few species that have gone extinct, but no one can point to the tens of thousands that have supposedly disappeared.

So literally nothing is "unnatural"? Then what does "natural" even mean? Absolutely nothing, since everything is natural. It's a meaningless word.
>>
>>74248807

Those aren't extinct.

We've categorized 1.5 million of an estimated 5.5 million species. In the last 500 years there have been 514 land species and 15 ocean species that have gone extinct. Some others are listed as endangered. But there is no mass extinction.

The way it is usually described by careful authors is
>"If all currently threatened species were to go extinct in a few centuries and that rate continued the sixth mass extinction could come in a couple of centuries or a few millennia."

So if the current trend continues for another few thousand years, then we'll have a mass extinction. That's hardly a cause for concern, except when fear mongering headlines scream "SCIENTISTS CLAIM WE'RE AT THE BEGINNING OF A MASS EXTINCTION!!!!"

That's not how mass extinctions happened in the past. Those were very rapid events due to asteroids and volcanoes.

There is no mass extinction ongoing. It's a myth.

Racist means believing one race is superior to others.
Don't you fit that definition perfectly, racist?

What is the average between -50 and 50? 0
What is the average between -149 and 151? 1.

A 'rise' is not a rise in every temperature ever. No one would be able to notice that. It's the rise in the average, which means colder colds and hotter hots, but the hots are a little hotter. Why? Because energy is spiking the weather patterns. Energy from the sun, trapped here by greenhouse gasses.

Global Warming is the wrong term, scientists are fucking stupid at naming things (European Extremely Large Telescope for instance.) The better name would be Global Overcharging, because that gets to the root of the problem, how do we get this energy (via heat) out of our open system? Clean up the gases? Siphon the energy into new power? That's the goal, finding ways to physically change that.
>but then we'll go too far
So we figure out a balance from there when we get to that.

Any species that specialized was not long for the world anyway.

No you stupid bitch.
We need that as plants need CO2.
The problem is huehues clear-cutting forests.

That's the key numb nuts, the CO2 has always existed and it's being put back into the air, causing a short warming spell. It will eventually settle back down and the cycle will start over again, see the graph.

if a godtard accepts global warming, they effectively debunk their own superstition worship because only their "God" can change the Earth "He" made in "six days"

Climate change is actually happening because of the SUN.
SUN is the only thing which gives massive amounts of energy for earth.
Currently SUN activity is declining, therefore released energy is much lower as a consequence earth is going to cool badly.
Proof: >>74244538
This graph pretty much matches suns' activity.
