also if you really want to get that good ol western feeling for certain parts of the USA. I would try looking in certain parts of the pic that are encircled in Red. A lot of rural and mining towns in thoughs areas haven't progressed to much and it can feel like you are still living in the 50s or even 1850s if you look in the right places

I don't know how my buddy's parents applied for a green card but it did take them some time, unfortunately thanks to Kennedy's 1965 immigration act we started accepting less europeans. But it shouldn't be as difficult as is sounds because I use to have an indian friend (dot not feathred) who's parents won citizenship in a lottery of some sorts, but I would go down the USA embassy or the office of emmigrations in your country and check out the process. They try to make it more complicated than it seems because they want to discourage a "brain drain effect" in their countries, but if you pay the fee and pass the test then you should by all rights become a citizen and it wouldn't hurt if you have a major skill ( engineer, doctor, lawyer, etc)
