Why are intellectuals, scientists, and academics overwhelmingly left wing? Doesn't it say something that the most educated people in the world are liberal?
>>
>>74149702
My mother is against immigration and generally right wing.
She's also fucking stupid.
How can right wingers Nazis ever recover?
>>
>>74149702
Im pretty sure that most of the sciences, engineering, and business are redpilled and right winged
>>
>>74149702
Because you have to pretend to be leftist so you don't get called racist, ending your career.
>>
Well they are dumb enough to not know that a socialist government would kill them first
>>
>>74149702
Muh feels increases with the percentage of women in universities.

Also, SJWs have been subverting all institutions of cultural control and influence in society, it's not just college.
>>
>university professors
>intellectuals, scientists, academics
>>
>>74149702
Because liberals are now in control of the educational system and the so called intellectuals simply regurgitate whatever they hear from their superiors.

If you were in Nazi Germany, all the scientists, professors, and engineers would have been far-right extremists.

This brand of fascism died off and anyone who followed this ideology was fired or kept silent so that they wouldn't be removed form their position.

That's pretty much why.
>>
A lot of them would prefer a pretty different kind of left than the liberals, but they see them as the lesser evil. A lot of them also thoroughly oppose globalization.
>>
>>74149906
>>74149955
But why? Why are universities and academia so liberal?

>>74149963
It's just an example. I could go find information for the rest of them if you really want me to.
>>
>>74149702
Academics have never lived in the real world.

Most people are left wing when they are young and idealistic in school/uni.

Academics never left that.
>>
>>74150084
Ok, do it then.
>>
>>74149906

Pretty much this. Every example of a scientist or intellectual going against the liberal agenda has had their careers ruined for daring to post actual science. An example of this would be Dr. James Watson, who (being old and no longer caring about his future) has pretty much ripped on the darker skins races with the twin guns of facts and evidence for the last twenty years. These efforts to actually educate people lead him to having to sell his Nobel Prize since people get kinda pissy when logic disagrees with their world views and he found his income significantly fucked.

Here's a source for scientists, it's late so I can't really be bothered to find the others. Limit your responses to just professors and scientists then.

Like I said, it's not just universities. Universities have been a bit left for a century or more now, but the SJWs have been targeting our kids for more than a generation. It's a long game.
My guess is that western culture has been weakened by self-destructive propaganda for so long it no longer has the self-assurance to keep out the crazies.
>>
>>74149702
I finished the university and got masters in the field of languages and translations. I always loved this since money is not a priority for me. But I digress.

The idea of teaching always appealed to me. But God damn it...when I saw the indoctrination and lies alongside this leftist leaning of the academy...a part of me truly died.

This field was respected in the past and rightfully so. Nowadays it goes down the same road as the artistic one - marxist propaganda degeneracy. They fucking ruined my dreams. One day the motherfuckers will pay.

You get fired if you're right wing, like Watson, who is probably the most important scientist alive.

I mean, if I were firing all the leftwing academics, I wouldn't be stupid enough to ask: "Why aren't there more leftwing academics?"

>Watson has often expressed provocative concepts and disparaging opinions of others within the realm of genetic research.

>He has been quoted in The Sunday Telegraph, 1997, as stating: "If you could find the gene which determines sexuality and a woman decides she doesn't want a homosexual child, well, let her."[85] The biologist Richard Dawkins wrote a letter to The Independent claiming that Watson's position was misrepresented by The Sunday Telegraph article, and that Watson would equally consider the possibility of having a heterosexual child to be just as valid as any other reason for abortion, to emphasise that Watson is in favor of allowing choice.[86]
>On the issue of obesity, Watson has also been quoted as saying, 2000: "Whenever you interview fat people, you feel bad, because you know you're not going to hire them."[87]
>While speaking at a conference in 2000, Watson had suggested a link between skin color and sex drive, hypothesizing that dark-skinned people have stronger libidos.[87][88] His lecture argued that extracts of melanin – which gives skin its color – had been found to boost subjects' sex drive. "That's why you have Latin lovers," he said, according to people who attended the lecture. "You've never heard of an English lover. Only an English Patient."[89]
>Watson has repeatedly supported genetic screening and genetic engineering in public lectures and interviews, arguing that stupidity is a disease and the "really stupid" bottom 10% of people should be cured.[90] He has also suggested that beauty could be genetically engineered, saying in 2003, "People say it would be terrible if we made all girls pretty. I think it would be great."[90][91]
>Watson has had quite a few disagreements with Craig Venter regarding his use of EST fragments while Venter worked at NIH. Venter went on to found Celera genomics and continued his feud with Watson. Watson was even quoted as calling Venter "Hitler".[92]

People with psychopathic traits tend to be attracted to professions such as such as CEO, lawyer, sales and marketing, journalist, police officer, and priest: ones that offer power, egotistical satisfaction, and control over people.

People who are well adjusted and empathetic tend to seek jobs that require making human connections and involve helping people. Among these types who value knowledge greatly, seeking to become a professor or scientist is a great option. Science is a community, and despite stereotypes requires exhaustive collaboration and working with others. When you're a teacher, the focus isn't on yourself, it's about helping other people reach their potential and possibly light the spark of a passion for the knowledge taught.

As we are part of a very interconnected and interdependent society, I think the perspective of empathetic people is much more fitting than the perspectives of narcissists and psychopaths. Of course if you're one of the latter types like many are here, you won't likely even be able to understand this.

They went to UNI or college, both very very liberal institutions that brainwash you or try to brainwash you. If you do an extensive degree like medicine you're subjected to 8+ years of liberal bullshit.

I want to say academics tend to rely on the government for grants and whatnot, but I've found white collar professionals--like lawyers--pretty liberal in general. I think all the conservatives are maybe just trying to crack into business and high-risk/high-reward situations, or going into engineering. The pursuit of knowledge and/or justice tend to be more liberal things.

It's not a liberal bias, it's because both sides pick different fields to work in.
Right winged people generally leave the academic field early to pursue things that are more benefitial to them in the long run such as starting up a business or anything else generating wealth.
Liberals tend to stay in the academic field for a long time and pursue things that don't really benefit them.

This has caused that it's hard to refute certain arguments in academia if you're right winged.

Economics for example is almost exclusively worried about mathematical problems to solve social issues and for example if you try to expose normative issues of immigration people will reject your arguments because you're injecting your political opinions into your work and are looking at it from a biased view.
Only 3% of all economists are brave enough to even mention the worrying negative effects of immigration in the long run, they have to go up against very clear data showing that even illegal immigration is positive for the living standards of natives, so saying that there should be less immigration because of worrying normative effects in the long run sounds insane.

Then there's the new philosophical standard that's pretty much extremely pluralist, nothing is true and nothing is right or wrong, you can't compare the Muslim faith to Christianity because the argument of any existing standard is hard to defend.
Right-winged politics depends a lot on this standard, you can imagine how that makes it hard for us to get our point across.

Lastly ofcourse there's a very anti-science perspective in the right-winged parties, especially in America.
This is also why I'm extremely happy to see new intellectual groups of right-winged people rejecting certain common arguments and starting a new more progressive movement that can meet Liberals in their fields.
>>
>>74149702
"professors"
Might as well say theologians.

Many don't work in fields seeking objective truths.
>>
>>74153647
this is true actually

In Australia the most you can earn as an academic will be like $130,000 a year

If you're even moderately successful in business or a profession (i.e. engineering, law, medicine) you'd be earning much more than the average academic

This.

I'm a very hands on type of person, I love getting things done over anything else and I'm not very fond of circular arguments and the fee-fees of people getting in the way of what I want.

I fucking BOMBED in school. Seriously, the highest grade I got in any subject in my entire time at high school was a C+, and I dropped out in year 11.

Places like Universities are for specific types of people who can sit down, listen, and repeat everything they've been told. The only successful people from these backgrounds are the ones that have left them, or the ones that have taken a business style approach and applied to to science.

My childhood was shit, the thought of staying even another year in school made me actually want to jump in front of a truck, and the thought of university for 4+ years made me consider killing myself.

I started my own business and I'm happier now. It's hard work but I like it.

There will always be left wingers in academia, academia is just suited to their personalities.

Because most controversies in modern society are nuanced, something which the right wing barely takes into account. It takes a deeper understanding of things from multiple perspectives to come to valid solutions, which, as this board will show you, is hardly looked at. That's my hypothesis at least.
>>
>>74150088
Correct. The use of this data suggests that academics are better people. The reality is they are the people unable to product things of value and need to live in the bubble. Study shows liberals need shelter.
