>All these anons listing benign substances like coffee and asking if they are banned
Why can't you just be happy someone is trying to get disgusting drugs off the streets?

Caffeine might be psychoactive, but obviously the ban is intended at research chemicals and other loop holes that need to be closed up.

I personally would not oppose a ban on caffeine also, but I don't see it as particularly harmful either.

It's a completely reasonable policy. The world would be a better place if alcohol and nicotine were banned, but sadly, it's not feasible. See: Prohibition.

It's objectively a good idea to suppress all other drug use before it becomes ingrained in a culture for generations upon generations.

Is this the first time in the countries history that they've outright tried to ban things that "don't" fit a description, rather than things that do?
If it is then it sets a bad precedent, how did this even make it though the commons?

And how the fuck are they going to enforce it?
Do they have the resources to send every bit of powder they come across out for testing?
And how will they even test it? You don't know for certain if something is psychoactive until you try it on a human, and that's what's being made illegal.

Other than that...5HT2a like you said, or mu-opioid. And overflow of serotonin (such as from LSD) can actually cure a migraine. They are currently trying to find a way to make it not get you high, and fix migraine pain (right now there is literally nothing, so if you were able to do it, you'd have a 100% monopoly on migraine cure. I'd be checking myself into a mental health facility right now. Not even kidding.

Fuck downers(opiates and diazepines in particular).

Also, if the government are going to completely ignore the ACMD then it might as well be disbanded.

>Cancer needs to hurry and GTFO.

Well, it sure as fuck won't. It's the perfect disease, other than it's not transmissible from person to person. Its' your own cells, so it evades the immune system, it's way more common then you'd ever think too. we're making great progress, but there are just too man genetic factors that don't show until you're 50-60 and already had kids, so the genes will always be passed down and spread. Over 65% of cancers have a genetic component now, even lung. Upwards of 45% of lung cancer patients were non smokers with genetic mutations. It's the number 1 killer BY FAR in all cancers (since it affects both men and women) but has been on teh back burner because it was seen as so avoidable. These new PD drugs are great for it, namely Opdivo and Keytruda

Wasn't Bromo-LSD under investigation exactly for this? The chemical particularly too big to bind to serotonin to get someone high but effective enough to stop a migraine? I'm sure I remember there being a documentary detailing this.

Cancer scares the shit out of me.
I can eyeball cocaine, meth, LSD, heart disease, diabetes, etc like they're nothing, but cancer? Sends a chill down my spine. Goddamn self-destruct.

I think nanobots might be out best bet for cancer. That is a field that needs funding fast. The little dudes could be injected and programmed to sweep through and destroy cancer cells. In theory.
>>
>>74125346
Do some shrooms/lsd/acid then try to answer this question again. The CIA brings in heroin, cocaine, etc because those drugs are good for obedience. They want you on certain drugs but not the true red pilled ones.

I can't figure out why 2-FMA hasn't caught on medicinally. It's like a less-fiendish d-amp. Less side effects too, and I found it less anorexic as well(anecdote).

I find it hilarious when people that aren't pharmacists try to advocate against drugs. And then they're like

>muh alcohol

Anybody that's studied drugs professionally knows that alcohol is one of the most addicting and degenerate drugs on Earth. Most psychedelics are virtually impossible to OD on and cause a tolerance so that they can't be repeated until a week or so. Of course the only reason they are banned is because of the counter-culture that happened in the 60's. It red-pilled a lot of individuals.

Ethanol has a very similar pharmacological profile to diazepines(Xanax, Valium, Etizolam), and like that class of drugs, withdrawal can cause severe health crises and possible death.

In my personal life, I've seen booze wreck more lives than all other drugs combined. Opiates coming the closest.
Like I said, fuck downers.
>>
>>74137071
Meth gets a bad rap.
All of the problems with it come from how impure most of it is and how users either smoke it or inject it.

When used orally and in decent purity, like Rx amps, it's really no worse than Adderall. Not something you wanna take for too long, but safe and useful on the short-term.
>>
>>74137418
There is a big difference -- meth, unlike regular amphetamine, is pretty neurotoxic
>>
>>74137689
If it overwhelms the receptors.
Used more like addies, for a few weeks at most, there'd be little if any damage.
>>
>>74123048
>drugs make you, like, question authority myaan

Lol. Get someone hooked on heroin and they'll suck your dick for another hit.

Drugs like shrooms, marijuana, and LSD make you a non-threat because you'll be too busy not doing anything to fight for something.

Drugs are the ultimate bluepill. They keep people complacent.
>>
>>74137689
All amphetamine is neurotoxic to a degree if you take it long enough
>>74137418
Yeah desoxyn is probably the best i've ever taken but 2-fma is closest in terms of pure mental performance without the anorexia as you mentioned

>>
>>74137841

>>74138009
I used meth once, when I experimented.
And I used Vyvvies for about 4 weeks during a particular tough cramdown in grad school.

Self-control isn't hard.
EVEN ON A-PVP NIQQA
>>
>>74137837
>>74137871
Amphetamine has never been shown to be directly neurotoxic to humans, while meth has. Amphetamine can be indirectly neurotoxic in excess, however.

I'm not saying you don't have a point, just that meth legitimately is worse for you.

>>74137841
>Drugs like shrooms, marijuana, and LSD make you a non-threat because you'll be too busy not doing anything to fight for something.
This is only true for habitual marijuana smokers and some acidheads who get so disillusioned with society that they decide to "drop out". And even then the latter is still different from being "complacent" in that you're not participating in various jewish scams and are aware of how fucked up a lot of things are, as opposed to being a typical 9-to-5 slave.
>>
>>74138009
I used meth once and then never again. Had no contact locally so I sourced it from out of state. The day after I desperately wanted more so I ordered more. By the time it arrived a few days later the need had subsided and I just threw it away because I knew if I did it again then I'd really be hooked.

What kind of idiot would even consider smoking? Light drugs become mental crutches over time and bring nothing beneficial to your life. If I felt like getting lung cancer for about 3 months of enjoying smoking before it becomes an itch to scratch, I'd let you know.
>>
>>74125346
Exactly this.

I've lived around working class all my life because it's where I come from and it's exactly this shit.

90% of these people live in a never ending cycle of dumping all their money on booze and overpriced weed at the end of each week and then complain they've got jack shit, rinse and repeat, forever.

Maybe + one or two teenage pregnancies.

>mental crutch
Quantify this. You and your ilk use it so often, but never tell us what it entails.
>>
>>74133747
You're a fucking moron. Drugs only do one thing: enhancing your qualities. If you're fucking lazy, then smoking weed will make you lazier. If you're fucking industrious and thinking about numbers all the time, drugs will make you a thousand times more productive.

The Wehrmacht and Hitler himself was hopped up on amphetamines during the war. Tim Leary went to Harvard. And that caffeine you sip as you go to work "making yourself a better person" or whatever bullshit you justify to think of yourself as pure and sober, that's a drug too. Anything and everything you put through your digestive system is a drug. Everything is psychoactive, the substances that cloud your mind the most are the ones you don't even realize you're addicted to. I bet you didn't realize when you drank milk from your cereal bowl this morning that your dopamine levels went up a little bit
>>
>>74139239
I'm sure someone's going to say the exact thing for pot and LSD.

Most people who regularly use psychoactive drugs do so at the expense of real introspection and critical thought. Philosophy doesn't come in chemical form.
>>
>>74139734
>Philosophy doesn't come in chemical form.
Reality disagrees.
>>
>>74139519
In order to feel normal, you must consume some baseline level of the substance in question. That's pretty much the full definition of a mental crutch with respect to drug usage. It happens with caffeine once you acclimate to it. Nicotine in tobacco is the same way. People get used to it and it no longer does anything for them other than to make them feel normal. It loses the edge and eventually just becomes an empty habit.

Something can also be a mental crutch whenever you use it as a coping mechanism or a means to enhance your experience. For instance, a lot of stoners think that they don't enjoy life as much when they aren't high.

It isn't necessarily restricted to drugs either. Generally anything that can become a all-consuming habit qualifies as a mental crutch.
