Life long resident of Dearborn here. I myself am Italian, I would politically identify as fascist. The arab population here is predominantly Lebanese and Muslim, mostly second and third generation. The Lebanese tend to have a more European cultural outlook probably due to their time under the French mandate. In large part hard working people, many own their own businesses or have jobs in the professions, petty bourgeoisie things like this. They maintain their homes well. Dearborn is a clean peaceful place, I have good neighbors and never had any problems. The immigrant situation in Europe is a bit different as you are dealing with first generation people of various ethnic backgrounds, many from war torn areas of northern Africa, Afghanistan, and the like. Can't speak on the criminal situation in Europe although I hear its quite bad. I'm also sure our comrades are making the most of the political gift they have been given ;)

I was born and raised there.
They do not assimilate. The women barely exist. The boys act like they are "hard" and continually intimidate people for no reason. They're all related, so they all back each other up. That being said, they aren't starting fights every day. Just more than would happen otherwise.
There are 3 high schools in the city. The Arab birth rate is so insane they spread them out. They don't all fit in Fordson, which is, by far, the worst performing, and most violent school.
The city is divided by a highway. One side used to be really nice. The other side is shit, and is also near detroit, where most of the Arab population lives. If you split the statistics, you would see a difference. It's worse on the east side, by far. How much from detriot and how much from arabic people, who knows.
Dearborn used to be the most racist city. So much so that black people are still very rare. Amazing considering the proximity to detroit. So it avoided a lot of the downfall detroit experienced.
It takes a few generations, but eventually the kids assimilate. But new ones keep coming. They're more violent and rude. You wouldn't be happy if they moved next door.
