A woman who's 8x more likely to be killed (for various reasons) is more likely to own a gun. Probably because she realizes she's living in a dangerous area, or in dangerous circumstances.
Women don't normally own guns. They aren't hobbyists like men are. So when they buy a gun, it's usually for a *reason*.
Gun ownership and likelihood of being killed are both corollary symptoms of an underlying problem.
Owning a gun can't itself be a causal factor. It can only be contributory at best. They're not time bombs.
