I was a poker dealer in Vegas. Everyone hates the Canadians. They're rude and they don't tip. Saying you're Canadian is the best way to get bad service in Vegas. French are absolutely the worst.
I work in a facility that does hourly tours and most people act in a polite fashion and follow the tour guides rules, Germans Scandanavians and surprisingly Americans are all fantastic and enjoy a chat with myself and the other workers.
French though, they branch off from the tour at every opportunity, use flash photography when strictly prohibited, actually get in the way of the shift workers to get a good photo and speak over the tour guide to each other in French despite the other patrons trying to hear him/her.

I deal with Japanese companies a lot, and I notice that, in the few incidents where I slight them by mistake (shipping costs, most often), they wouldn't voice a complaint.
I usually reciprocate that attitude, but if they notice their mistake they will usually be head-over-heels apologetic and offer some sort of compensation. Singaporeans have a similar attitude, but its more of a "fair is fair" kind of thing, and if I accidentally under or overcharge them they will bluntly point it out.
With the mainland Chinese I will get angry replies if they think they can gouge an extra dime out of me, regardless of whether I made an error. Those guys think they can burn bridges without consequence.
Koreans and Taiwanese are somewhere in between.

I've lived in touristy areas and also traveled a lot. I think the good ones seem mostly true, though we should probably be bumped down a little for being so loud. The Russians, British and French I've met have been pretty good, though they still would not make any "best" list. Indians and Chinese tend to travel in large groups, are super entitled and have no problem trampling other people. The Japanese also travel in groups and may accidentally block things, but they won't trample you and they'll apologize for it when they think they have done something rude.
As for groups not on the list, Mexicans are often the same as the Indians and Chinese, but with some of the loudness of Americans. Belgians and Dutch have all the snottiness and arrogance that fits the stereotypes of the French. Austrian men are some of the most arrogant pricks on Earth and when you spend time around them, it seems like it comes from some kind of atypical autism, while Austrian women are weird, but surprisingly nice.

Yes Japanese tourists are the best. As are the Chinese. They are polite and respectful. The only downside is they usually take travel tours with others, so they sometimes travel in big packs.
Brits in the Netherlands came in two varieties. Those actually on vacation trying to get some culture and history. And those coming over the weekend to get high and drunk. This last group is also present whenever there is a British team playing football.

Generally Americans and Canadians make better RealTravelers™ than northern Euros: both are chill, but the former are usually more independent, while the latter tend more to travel in groups and stick to the tourist trail. But there are lots of exceptions.

Germans- Very respectful, speak great english and aren't patronizing. Like to have fun and are intrigued by the american dynamic. some great looking girls and the guys are almost always bro-tier but maybe a little nerdier than americans are used to.
Americans: Most didn't fit the stereotypes. they are like a more down to earth aussie or brit in that they like to party but they aren't complete fucking dips hit maniacs pissing everywhere and walking around with their shirts off with their disgusting accents.
Swedes- Fun people curious about america but not judgmental. Stay to their own group and cause no problems. good luck getting a chance with a swedish girl. they are the hottest but more than that, they do NOT talk to strangers.

Chinese- This is easy. The chinese are fucking horrible. I think the whole world agrees with this. No sense of decency, no inherent cultural morality so its dog eat dog. the chinese suck.
French( and french canadians!)- Terrible terrible english. atleast as far as they will let you know! Have a extremely apparent superiority complex with regards to americans, bad attitudes, refuse to communicate in english if you don't speak french just because they couldn't care less about you. spoke wayyyy too much. I met one awesome french guy...the rest were bad. the girls especially; the biggest bitches aside from the dutch( the dutch guys and girls are like aspie level socially retarded....the german directness and over focus on little stupid details on steroids).
