On the eve of the EU referendum, David Cameron, the biggest remain voice, will likely be leader of a party getting serious charges for breaking electoral law, including being forced to forfeit seats for by elections (which they would clearly lose due to bad press).

If this happens as I hope it happens, Cameron will be discredited along with his pro remain statements, and the entire remain side will be tainted.

Dave has made a career out of slithering out of potential political crucifixions, it wouldn't surprise me if he got out of this. Of course that can only happen before it goes to court because then he's as good as guilty. Surely the Conservative Party can dodge another scandal or perceived existential crisis?
