Stellaris IS overrated. Dont buy unless they dump some dlcs and a bit of patches(10 maybe?), there are no rebellions of slaves, and customizing ur own race doesnt make any diffrence. No matter what traits u pick u almost see no diffrence in playstyle.

The back story provided is that her facton was an early attempt at colonizing a planet using wormholes that went sideways. They've been on an alien planet, cut of from Earth. Competence is basically mandatory.

its pretty solid and it has good roleplay meme capability - and i am sure there will be some nice mods
but once you learn the mechanics (its basically civ 5 in space) you realize how shallow the game really is
it kind of reminds me of spore but no where near as bad - the potential for greatness is there but it lacks depth and you wonder if anyone with a brain actually played the game fully during testing sessions and realized how plastic it feels
