In reality it's basically just a reality tv entertainment show and the cars are just sponsored advertisement deals with a little bit of editorial bias on the parts of the actors, but mostly it's just entertainment based on an advertisement model, just like the price is right.

This show is about 3 men with opinions about cars giving each other shit. They know each other well, they're not always friendly, but the show always felt honest. That's the attraction.
