No one under the age of 25 should be allowed to vote. Nor should anyone over the age of 60.

Discuss.

I would also be fine with that if you added the poor, people on entitlements, anyone in government, and people who don't have a college degree as well.
>>

I was always a fan of property owning white males.
>>
>>73786040
Stupid and arbitrary.

I'd prefer it if only the people who pay more in taxes then they receive in benefits have a say. Democratic feudalism, if you will.

First post best post.
>>
>>73786040

>Nor should anyone over the age of 60.

That's bullshit. Pay millions of tax dollars throughout your life and you can't even get a say in what happens to it. Maybe once you're fully retired and are like over 80 but not 60. Also 25 is too high, take it back to 21.

I am 19, but not brainwashed by the leftist propaganda crammed into our skulls daily - so I think my vote would be worth it.

Although, 95% of my peers are brainwashed faggots. the other 5% aren't, but just simply aren't interested in politics

/pol/ is my only sanctuary (sadly)

you contradict your own point
>>
i don't vote. nobody should vote
it doesn't make any difference
atleast in this country
politicians promising fields of gold, but you end up with fields of shit no matter who you vote on
>>
>>73786040
The turnout of 18 to 25s is so shit I think youd be wasting time. Wht vote when you can post bernie infographs on twitter
>>
>>73786510
Tax dollars don't buy you the vote cuck.

Over 60's don't know shit about how the world works anymore, their observations are just as valid as an 8 year old, so they should be excluded from voting for the same reason an 8-year old is.
>>
>>73786175
Noice.
>>73786040
Add in there if you dont pay taxes you dont vote.
>>
Maybe age isn't the right criteria.

If you are 22 and have worked and paid enough taxes, you should be able to vote.
>>
>>73787494
Although I do agree that a lot of people my age are incapable of forming sound political views, being under the age of 25 doesn't necessarily mean you are incapable of making an informed decision about politics

Is that easier for you to understand now?
>>
>>73788524
>doesn't necessarily mean
But if you allow those few informed voters to vote, you'll allow in your words, the brainwashed 95% to vote too. Thus nullifying not only those informed voters' votes but also votes made by people over 25

Or just restore property requirements.
>>
>>73786040
Sure but then everyone under 25 and above 60 should not have to pay taxes.

No taxes without representation.
>>
>>73786040
I agree with raising the age. People should be of working age before they vote so that paying tax the the cost of policy is something the understand.
>>
You should have a job and own property

Only people who own property & pay taxes can vote.

Problem solved.
>>
>>73786040

I think people over the age of 60 should still vote. they have accumulated much wisdom which even world leaders lack. I would say under 21 for the minimum age limit but I'm ok with 18 more or less.

>People under the age of 22 paying taxes

C'mon m8. I dont know how thinks are in your shithole country, but most here would fall under the tax threshold.

Voting should be limited to free white male land owners.
>>
>>73786280
No one with a liberal arts degree should be able to vote for obvious reasons

As I recall, there used to be a law in place that required you to own land before you could vote. The thought behind it was that if you had a physical stake in the well-being of the country, that you would think hard about who and what you'd vote for.

I think it's a great idea, personally.
>>
>>73789668
The issue with old people voting is that they're not making income. They're just leeching off social security, medicare, and other bennies.

To be fair, they paid into those their entire lives. But the fact of that matter is we cannot fix these ponzi scheme debt monsters if a significant portion of the population will guarantee anyone that tries to fix it will never get elected.
>>
>>73786175
underrated
>>
>>73791009
Any system that only gives the vote to owners of a certain asset class will just lead to retarded laws that favour that asset class. May as well only give the vote to bankers or only to farmers.
>>
>only people whose age range score most on my political beliefs should be allowed to vote
>>
>>73786040
anyone working in the public sector shouldn't be allowed to vote, like soldiers.
>>
If you don't own a house/land you shouldn't get to vote.
>>
No one under goberment paycheck should vote.
>>
>>73786510
this desu I could see cutting someones voting at 80 when they are in a nursing home and having someone vote for them but you still have plenty of productive years at 60

There should be two presidents and two groups for voting for each.
In group A nobody but biologically born males with no history of severe mental illness that are currently employed and have an education of highschool level or equivalent and a military record should be able to vote.
In group B only women, mentally ill, and jobless civilians can vote.

Each votes for their own separate president out of two different pools. If a single person wins both polls then the second popular moves into group B's presidential slot.

Bills and actions may only be passed by the presidency if both presidents are on agreement with them.
