Because leftards don't understand that we can't keep going with this fucked economy of ours. The socialist government (that the leftards so eagerly wanted) tried to unfuck our economy a tiny little bit with a totally harmless labour reform, which actually doesn't change much at all. But leftards want none of that, ooh boo ooh, the evil government that they considered like god up until now, suddenly want to remove a tiny bit of the privileges their ancestors had, so there you have it : massive chimps out. Communist teachers in high school and universities have indoctrinated their students, who have never worked a single day in their lives, to attack the police, burn cars, pillage shops and destroy job centers. However they still aren't doing shit against the gov or the socialist party, because those faggots don't have any balls and know they would get their shit kicked in at full force. Then you have the "nuit debout" (night standing) faggots, which are basically doing 24/24 protests by staying on the streets like a bunch of hobos smoking weed even at night. Most of those guys have a similar profile : about 30 years old, ultra left background, have higher education in some worthless social science degree (think the French equivalent of women's studies) and are much more likely than the general population to be unemployed (no shit).
The cancer that's killing France is out on the streets, throw some napalm and you're basically fixing all of France's problems at once.
Anyway, since France is a soviet country anyway, the gov doesn't give a fuck about the protests and still forced the law by bypassing the democratical process (no need by a vote from the assembly).
And those leftards are still calling for more socialism and more statism, because the gov supposedly isn't socialist enough! Top kek, even Stalin would be proud.

But anyway the average work time is 37,5h in France and productivity is top 4 of Europe.
French are not lazy (or we would not have achieved anything), the most important problem is the labour market which is really rigid, it protects the employees a lot which imply that employers take a big risk when they hire someone (because the person does not do its job correctly it is really hard to fire him without giving a lot of compensations and impossible to avoid pursuits).
At the end of the day the big losers are the unemployed because the bosses prefer to increase the workload and pay additional hours to trusted employees instead of hiring, while the employees don't want to reduce their security net considering they are scammed in the process.
At that you add a total lack of representativity from french syndicates (who are just a bunch of far left communists) and the fact they are really confrontationnal if you compare them to the german ones for example.
When the fuck do the French not riot? It's been 200 years and they still find shit to be angry about EVERY DAY
