Why can't you guys admit he has some good ideas? There hasn't been a candidate this beloved around campuses and in academia for a very long time-- I think that alone says something positive about his intelligence.
>>
He has ideals. Not ideas.
>>
how's this for a good idea:

"If you extinguish the fire, it wins."
>>
Are canadians feeling the bern yet?
>>
>>73667211
Have you seen the state of campuses and academia? They're epicentres for the safe space over sensitivity shit we're dealing with.
>>
>socialism
>fresh, new, bright ideas of the 21st century
pick one and only one
>>
>>73667211
My problem aren't with some of his ideas they are with his idea on how to pay for them. I make six figures after busting my ass for a decade to get there and I don't feel like paying a shitload more taxes for some other fucking kid that isn't mine to go to school.
>>
>>73667211
>Why can't you guys admit he has some good ideas?

His ideas were perfect. FREE SHIT that I don't have to pay for..... Wait, what do you mean I do? What do you mean more taxes? What do you mean I don't get more benefits cause I earn slightly, very slightly more than the nation average? I THOUGHT IT WAS FREE!
>>
>>73667372
I think together with Trudeau, they could do some real good for North America. Jobs will be gained in the public sector, at the expense of corporations who can afford to pay more taxes. It wouldn't surprise me to see human's on Mars by the end of Bernie's term as well.
>>
I would consider voting for him if his supporters weren't such insufferable cunts. He wouldn't be able to get any of his socialist shit done anyways.
>>
>tax everyone to death
>free stuff
>more regulations
>guns for hunting only

Dude im a fucking regulator. I close business and refer pwopel to the DA on a daily basis. Every single person in my office thinks we are too strict and put undue hardship on business. I live in liberal land too.
>>
>academia
>worth anything now that the majority of students are doing bachelors in arts and other useless shit
>>
>>73667211
>Marxist
>good ideas

Fuck off back to Plebbit. Bernie launched communism into the American political mainstream, and for that he deserves to be hanged with all his supporters.
>>
>>73667211
Because a lot of retarded college kids like Bernie means he's smart? wew lad
>>
>>73667211
>"I DID IT! I FINALLY GOT SOMEONE TO LISTEN TO ME!"

>welfare babies

meanwhile, who, of any relevance, with authority, supports this guy?
>>
>hey your economy is crippled by taxes and regulations pushing companies out
>let's institute a number more of these measures, negative GDP growth is good
>>
>>73667297

What? He has clear and concise ideas. Literally the opposite of what Trump has.
>>
>>73667841
Yes because Trump has no policy papers or ideas. Fuck off.
>>
>>73667211
All his ideas cost money. You cannot force the rich to pay taxes, and Bernie has stated on record that if they refuse to pay, he will tax healthcare workers and transportation workers to pay for them.

He's living in a fantasy land, and I refuse to pay for it

I think this alone says something negative about the current state of the academia, my commie friend.

You say that because you know Trump though sound bites played on biased media, his policies are on his website in simple to read format

Weird,I read up on all of Trump's policies online and they weren't that bad. Agreed with a lot more of them than Bernie by far.

I like this kind of shill thread more than the usual kind. Ok, I'll bite.

The only good thing about Bernie is that he's anti-Establishment. Trump is too, but has a lot of good things Bernie doesn't, like not making people who work hard for their money give a lot of it away to people who don't want to work at all.

Free college. It will be even more necessary once we open our borders, as new members of the population will need an education to contribute.
>>
>>73668400

Why do you repeat things other people have told you? For approval? To test drive it to see how it feels?
>>
>>73668400
People don't understand wasteful college spending, he's gonna increase taxes to give it to universities to raise teacher and coach salaries and build bigger rec centers

Free healthcare would cost a trillion dollars, assuming it cost the same percentage of GDP as the NHS in the UK. That alone would triple the deficit. That's not even starting with college education.

He has some good ideas but they literally only work if you cut off the spics, immigrants, and foreign governments entirely. A purported labor advocate who doesn't understand that the labor market is governed by supply and demand like any other market is nothing more than a dumbass.

You can't be this naive. College "students" support him because he is promising them free tuition.
>>
>>73667211
Because American's have completely fallen into this partisan politics trap. Few people seem capable of accepting that all candidates have good and bad points. It's all or nothing. Muh God Emperor. Whichever candidate you like must be infallible and defended to your last breath. Our system has completely and totally divided and conquered us, to the point where we will have to choose between the idiot man-child Trump, or the sleazy wench Hillary. It's a sad state of affairs.
>>
>>73667775
If you think that taxes are the only thing pushing companies out, look again. There is no sane company in the workd that would operate where labor costs are so high; slave-like chinese workers are prefered to proper decently payed americans. That means that, for a similar taxation, china would always be preferable.

And another thing: what good are those corporations for if they do not contribute to the society, and benefit from the american market without contributing with the budget to mantain your living standards?

most of his good ideas were taken from trump
e.g, he was never anti-NAFTA until trump was
>>
>>73668869
Who can tell? Trump has repeatedly flip-flopped so hard, that you can find a quote to back up nearly any claim you wish to project upon him. At times, he appears more liberal on certain topics than Hillary. Other times he veers hard right. He doesn't exactly have a voting record to help guide us.
>>

>There hasn't been a candidate this beloved around campuses and in academia for a very long time
and I think thats precisely why he shouldn't be president, young people don't know what the fuck they're talking about or whats good for them.

Name one thing he's flip flopped on

>Hur dur, may young people vote!

Listen. Every new generation of idealistic young people we go through this. It started with the beatniks, then the hippies, etc. It never lasts & always dies out once they realize that bad elements always infiltrate the "my stuff is your stuff" mentality & it ends up turning into a total cluster fuck. Even with socialism lite, like places in Europe, you'll see this first hand with how that system handles the millions of leeches that are being dropped over there.

Most people grow up & grow out of it. A few, like comrade Sanders, keep fighting for it. So its no coincidence he's only arousing stupid young people with no life experiences with his rhetoric.

Capitalism isn't perfect by any means, but its the best way to go about it.

the fact commie supporting kikes voting for him should be enough to say it's not a good idea. oh canuck flag ,shit i already typed this out.

Higher taxes for the wealthy/breaks for them. Build our military up/make other countries police their area of the globe. He's a democrat/now he's a republican. Pro choice/anti-choice. It just goes on and on.
>>
>>73669550
Yeah, I knew you were just swallowing the media's BS

On tax, he said his tax proposal is his initial negotiating position and that if it came down to it he would raise taxes on the wealthy in order to secure cuts for the middle class. Not a flip flop but the media is desperate to play that card.

Building up one's own military and making other countries pick up their own tabs are not contradictory. They're totally consistent with an America First doctrine.

People switch party affiliations a lot because surprise surprise parties can change over the course of 50 years.

Yeah no one really cares about abortion it's just a petty wedge issue for the plebs. His position on abortion changed a few years ago, but it has been consistent since the beginning of the campaign so not really a flip flop. Private citizens change their minds a lot. As a politician he has been totally consistent.
>>
>>73669550
He has been 100% consistent on trade since the 80's. He's saying the exact same thing now as he said to Oprah in 1980

The only flip floppers are the opponents who aped his positions on everything

You are deeply deluded. All the information is readily available for you to research for yourself, but I'm sure you have a much firmer grasp on his policies over there in Ireland than someone who attended his rally last weekend, has watched every debate, watched his rallies, and read his books.

>Why can't you guys admit he has some good ideas?
Those ideas have only been viable in culturally and ethnically homogenous societies. South America is a good example for how those policies would play out in the US.

I've already debunked your argument by displaying a more detailed knowledge of Trump's statements. Let's dispel with this notion that you can save face here.

Those results and the fact he's losing so clearly against Hilary has always been someone I just can't square together. How does the man who more people would vote in the GE lose to the woman they would vote less in comparison to trump? Are there a huge number of conservatives who just went "fuck everything, let's crash this nation with no survivors"?
