Hygiene is essentially the most basic aspect of politeness. If you want people to deal with you, it helps to look clean and not smell like rotting garbage.

Kind of. It's not unhealthy to relatively often, it is unhealthy for your skin and hair to use hot water, and abrasive soaps/shampoos often. If you have dry skin, switch to cold showers for two weeks; it'll most likely go away. If you have damaged hair, only condition for a month or alternate shampooing days and your hair will adjust back.

I use dish washing liquid for most of my cleaning needs because I am one greasy mother fucker.
