What's /pol/'s opinion on this movie? Did it induce a change in your worldview? Did you agree with most/all of it or did you take it with a grain of salt?
>>
Brainwash
>>
It was the start of my redpilling, honestly. Led me down the rabbit hole, even though the later ones are commie garbage.
>>
>>73616916
It made me wake up to the fact that money is an outdated mechanism.

All the jesus and twin towers stuff is shit, though.

7/10

this film/documentary is made by jew.
>>
>>73616916
2007 called, it wants its conspiracy/atheist/sjw propaganda back.
>>
>>73616916
Watched it
Tried to find facts that back up claims
Found that many of the things represented as facts, especially in the section about Jesus and religion, were pretty much all wrong/made up.
Ignored and dismissed it as random tinfoil hat propaganda
>>
Took it with a grain of salt but I liked some of the ideas
>>
>>73616916
Disinfo.
Debunked thousands of times for years on this board.
>>
No sources. But it's enough drama to lead someone to question the narratives, which leads them to redpilling themselves. So while the movie itself might not be based in fact, it leads to enlightenment if someone is intrigued enough.
>>
It fed my redpillening. State of Fear began it I guess.

it was edgy back when i was 13
>>
>>73616916
It did break the naive outlook i had
It's full of bullshit though

Would you recommend a documentary which further/better explains modern oligarchy/plutocracy and it's intertwining with government decisionmaking? Also, your opinion on The Four Horsemen?
>>
I used to regularly post my redpill sticky years ago if anyone wants
A lot of links could be outdated though

>What's /pol/'s opinion on this movie?

absolute, unmitigated flapdoodle. one must be the most credulous idiot on the planet to believe it. probably the most transparent, hamfisted piece of moronic propaganda of the last couple decades.

>Did it induce a change in your worldview?

no, it *reinforced* it.

>Did you agree with most/all of it or did you take it with a grain of salt?

it's correct in claiming that governments use terror as a weapon against their own populations, and it's correct that central bankers are running a scam on a global scale. but in the first part - about Christianity - it's not only wrong, but repeatedly, demonstrably, unquestionably wrong on just about everything it claims.

if you doubt me, simply watch this *EXCELLENT* refutation, where its claims are held up to critical scrutiny, and found to not simply be wanting or deficient, but flagrant LIES:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFI6m6Icav4

it is rare in this sort of field to have one side be absolutely, factually, irredeemably wrong in just about every claim it makes, but "Peter Joseph" has somehow managed to do exactly that, and this video shows it - dispassionately and mercilessly.

if you can watch that refutation in full and NOT come to the conclusion that Peter Joseph is a boldfaced and intentional liar, i will eat my shoes.

it contained a lot of false (whether intentional or not, i dont know) information and made tenuously explained claims.

however, it gave me the invaluable perspective of not trusting governments or media

then later i learned not to trust anything the first time i hear it.

do your own research people.

you are smarter than you think.

have you guys seen this documentary called Loose Change? It's on youtube, about 9/11. Really opened my eyes, you know? Like, jet fuel can't melt steel. Gotta check it out, guys. Wake up to the Truth.

Anyway, anyone have a download link for pic related?
>>
>>73619846
So you dismiss the movie by literally invoking it's narrative? Do explain.

>>73619271
Noted, will watch it soon enough, thanks for the opinion

Believe it or not, I actually saw one part of Zeitgeist posted on a porn site once. It was on the list of recently added videos. I was surprised.
>>
>>73616916
It had done way more harm than good. It basically discredited Jesus Myth Theory because of incompetent way it handled it.
>>
>>73619921

one doesn't need to watch Alex Jones to realize that. i'm not a Jones fan, myself, and here are my thoughts:
>>73619271

furthermore, what "Zeitgeist" attempts to do is destroy Christianity (and fails spectacularly) and substitute for it an amalgamation of mystery religions. it then says, "OK, you caught me, you caught me..." to government-sponsored terror and privately run central banks, and suggests replacing them with a system of even *greater* and more complete collective control over humanity.

you have to be a card-carrying moron to not realize this.
>>
>>73619458
no, honestly, research the first part of the video, the part about other deities.

im not religious, but religions and religiosity are necessary in society

these days, the Economy is the religion

no-one really understands it

it is everywhere and all-knowing

it keeps us happy and healthy

we must appease it, or we will suffer an Economic Crash
please dont think im saying that economics is false. it's not false. but its also not a true science either.

but in media/politics, the Economy is a deity, and only the priesthood, im sorry, "financial experts" (aka bankers with a revolving door to government agencies), can diagnose its needs and tell us what we need to do to appease it.
>>
>>73620350
There is quite a bit of truth to this

Notice how any attempts by people like trump or ukip is met by basically the modern equivalent of "blasphemy"

>how dare you question the ultimate and true light of globalism and free open border less markets
>>
>>73620350

this reminds me of that episode of South Park.

much truth in the post and in that episode.

That isn't how anything works.
>>

Didn't it straight-up lie?
>>
>>73616916
It was a waste of time and produced many permavirgin conspiratards who chose to "pursue the truth" instead of pursuing a job and ultimately a family.

I used to watch the religion part all the time in sophomore year of high school cause I thought it was cool but I hated how all my friends reacted to it. I dont know what to say about it now, it's got 9/11 shit but the second one had interviews with supposedly a real CIA agent so that's kinda neat

The movie has been debunked as junk. There's website that disproved the entire movie on all points and provides sources unlike this movie which used secondary sources for the source of it's facts.

I have always worked in banking. I still do.

What is true is that money as a means to control offer and demand is not necessary anymore, considering the current electronic means for synchronization if needs vs production.

Is not about ((current year)). We will do better someday.
>>
>>73625186

i would *hope* you're not suggesting i'm an atheist.

i am very much a Bible-believing Christian.
>>
>>73625383
I've got to ask, why?
>>
>>73626193

i'm a former atheist, but after having really studied the issue of the existence/nonexistence of God, i came to see that atheism is a thoroughly incoherent worldview. it just doesn't "hang together," as philosophers put it. it also can only be defended if one first presupposes that physical matter and existence is all that is, and i later realized what should have been manifestly self-evident: that there is no logical reason for that presupposition in the first place.

but, once one concludes that God exists - or, that He *may* exist - the issue then becomes how one can know that one has the "true" religion, since they are all pretty much exclusive of one another. since we reason that, if God exists, He is the greatest imaginable exemplar of all good virtues, then He must be both Perfectly Just AND Perfectly Merciful. but this appears, on the surface, to be an obvious conundrum: Perfect Justice would mean to punish each and every transgression; Perfect Mercy would be the opposite - to FORGIVE each and every transgression.

remember the Sesame Street skit? "one of these kids is doin' their own thing"? that's how Christianity is when compared to all the world's religions. religion is Man's system of rules, whereby one might become "good enough for God." Christianity is very much the opposite. Christianity - Biblical Christianity - cedes the point that Man could never be "good enough" for a Perfectly Holy God - and therefore God devised a way for us: He would actually take the penalty for all sins HIMSELF, and then offer Perfect Foregivness and Mercy to all of those who would simply trust Him. this way, God remains both Perfectly JUST (He punishes each and every sin), AND Perfectly MERCIFUL (He forgives completely and forever anyone who would trust Him).

i could go on and on, but basically i found that actual, real Christianity as a worldview is perfectly cohesive, and very, very defensible in the logical, rational sense.
>>
It has retarded directly deceptive info about Jesus. Saying you believe Jesus isn't God is one thing. Saying He never existed is another and is a product of a conspiracy is a flatly denying reality. The film misquotes and twists many historical sources so badly I can't see why anyone takes it seriously.
>>
>>73627418
What about the fact that both Islam and Judaism essentially have declared it a heresy?

Hell, if you read the old testament, it point blank states if anyone tries to retract on old testament law, which is inherently the word of god, they are deceivers and should be stoned.

If you follow Christianity, it begs a question between the old and new; only one can be true as they both divinely contradict one another. Either Jesus is the son of god, and the old testament is a falsehood, or Jesus is not the son of god, and the original torah is divinely inspired. Or neither.
