'Murica builds F22 which cost so much money they can't finance it in any real conflict. The risk of losing them would be catastrophic.

What you're asking is a very tough question to answer. This isn't like the very easy "if the whole world tried to invade the USA, who would win?" (The answer is the USA).
While the US, if it applied all it's military might, could certainly conquer any individual nation, and would most likely be able to conquer most every continent bar asia with only mild difficulty, it would be a rather hard and certainly a bery long process to conquer the entire earth.
After every conquest, we would have to stop, consolidate and then absorb the conquered peoples. If we didn't we would have to say goodbye to any chances of holding that land. That time of consolidation is a double edged sword, as it gives our enemies time to prepare for war.
So, while the conquest itself wouldn't be that hard, actually holdong that land would be next to impossible. It would require a cultural assimilation.
Which is why the far easier way to do it is this:
You would have to break any ideas of nationalism, force the Europeans to welcome outsiders who are extremely dangerous. In the meantime, one would have to export US culture to Europe, supplanting their own. You'd have to get them to wear American clothes, watch american Tv and movies, read American books, listen to american songas and eat american food. You'd also need an existin military force in Europe, so that Europeans aren't completely turned off to the idea of US troops in their nations.
That, combined with the internal enemy, would cause Europe to eventually welcoem the US with open arms as they cry for help against the internal enemy. Then you simply never leave.
That is how you conquer europe and keep it conquered
