Because it's a movie, for children. They tend to be works of fiction, and their events don't have to be realistic. If you bothered, you could go on and on about the inaccuracies or other issues in Pocahontas.
As for that particular song you posted, its message is about appreciating and cherishing nature for reasons deeper than just money or greed. I don't see that as an anti-/pol/ message, I love the nature.
