No education teaches what it is. You have to find out yourself.
The west was never going to support south Africa. It would have turned into a proxy war between white south Africans supported by the west and all of black Africa supported by russia and China.
South Africa is far away from the west and it's white inhabitants were few. The west would have needed to send troops. Russia and China would have only needed to dump weapons and maybe instructors to win.
Which is why the west betrayed south Africa. To not turn the African continent communist.
